Agendas

ŸŸ - The GA confirmed new membership for Centre for Cultural Studies, CUHK in Hong Kong; including the new member, the Consortium is composed of 23 institutions for the present.

Ÿ- The SC agreed to keep the MOU in a more flexible manner; it would be better to make it on the department/institutional level rather than the university level, with IEAS as a party representing Sungkonghoe University. Therefore, from now on, if any institute belongs to CIACSI & IACSS as a member happens to change its name, secretariat can immediately apply the new name on the letter without the approval of SC or GA.

Ÿ- Lingnan University proposed to organize the 4th Biannual IACSS Summer School 2016. The proposed theme “Popular Culture and Social Movement” will bring together graduate students and faculties from the inter-Asia region for in-depth learning, sharing and field study. The Summer School will be jointly organized by Kwan Fong Cultural Research & Development Programme and Master of Cultural Studies of Lingnan University. Lingnan University plans to accommodate 40 students from outside Hong Kong and approximately 10-15 graduate students from local.

Ÿ- The next SC and GA will be held in Lingnan University, Hong Kong, in 2016.

Thank You For Courtesy Extended!

The meetings were highly indebted to persons concerned in Airlangga University. We deeply appreciate for their effort and service as host, indeed.
