Edit WRONG INFO-MOD IN THE EXTERNAL SECTION IS FAKE AND DOES NOT WORK UNLESS YOU ARE ON PC BONELAB: just got a comment about someone seeing a multiplayer in the external mods section, I just checked I found it too now we just gotta figure out how to use it lmao
So i was looking at the newly released multiplayer mod for Bonelab, and was just wondering if/when it is going to be Quest 2 Compatible. I'm not neseccarily looking for cross-play, I'd just like to play with friends. Although, I am aware that Blade and Sorcery does have multiplayer, while the standalone edition does not. Will it be similar with Bonelab?
I have two vr headsets, and i was wondering, since multiplayer physics vr games is usually not that good, can't i play with my siblings like Realtime physics ran by my one PC and have epic fights. like some epic star wars sword clash??
I bought bonelab on the oculus store and my friend bought it on Steam and we wanna try the multiplayer mod. Everytime I try to start the game with the mods (and yes I put them where they need to be according to tutorials) the game just closes. Does the mod only work on Steam PCVR?
Update: Sorry for some of the confusion on what I meant. I was confused on the crossplay support on Oculus and Steam, which I'm now looking at the changelogs about. The multiplayer mod did not work when I tried to play with my friend when he used Steam and I used the Oculus desktop app. The game wouldn't work when I did that. I bought it on Steam now it works. Yes I already had MelonLoader installed and everything and I am on PCVR.
While the game is extremely fun, especially for an Early Access indie title, the base game still feels a bit lacking in terms of features. Despite being a first-person VR game, Bonelab does not have any multiplayer game modes. Fortunately, the game does have support for mods, with some really cool ones already available on GitHub.
Much like any other mod for Steam games, installing the multiplayer mod for Bonelab VR is quite a straightforward process. However, it should be mentioned that modding games always come with the risk of damaging local save files; as such, you might want to back up your saves using Steam Cloud before installing the mod.
The multiplayer mod for Strell Level Zero's VR game comes courtesy of modder Lakatrazz on GitHub. It is titled Bonelab-Fusion and adds full multiplayer functionality for the VR game. The mod also supports a system called Modules, which essentially allows users to create and sync their own events within the mod.
Setting up a Bonelab multiplayer server with Bonelab Fusion is a straightforward process. Players can access the mod's intuitive interface within the game to configure server settings, such as player limit, game mode, and map selection.
Yes, the in-game multiplayer server creation feature in Bonelab promotes accessibility and inclusivity by eliminating the need for external hosting or complex setups. It allows players to easily create and join multiplayer sessions within the game.
