I have done multiple uninstalls and reinstalls via Waves Manager, full restarts, and still I only see two plugins in Logic in my Waves folder when inserting a plugin on a track: The free CLA echo-reverb and the Kings Microphone lol. I have used the full Abbey Road collection on my 2013 MBP 15" Retina, no issues. Easy install and authorizing process.

We are working to qualify and update our software to work there, but this may take some time and I do not have an ETA.
In the meantime, I cannot offer any troubleshooting steps or help resolve this.
Do you still own a previous Mac with Intel processor where the plugins run properly?

Heya Simon. I worked out that I needed to migrate logic and waves plugs from the intel machine to the M1, then open logic in Rosetta and validate the plugs to the M1. All present and accounted for and running very well. That will hold me over nicely until I can go native when waves is rockin the M1.

Logic Pro X disables all plugins on a track, when there is no active region. Is there a way to prevent Logic from doing that? Pro tools is doing the same thing, but at least they provided a flag that can be set to turn it off for a plugin.

I know. My thought was that it was probably used in the past but got lost during some refactoring or SDK change. So somebody with some knowledge about the AU sdk could check if the wrapper could signal this behaviour to the host i.e. Logic and reinstall that workflow to the wrapper.
I highly doubt that the silenceInProducesSilenceOut flag was introduced without being used in any wrapper.

Heatwave is a fast, effective, and free way to add grit and aggressiveness to almost any sound while preserving its original transients. Add punishing distortion to drum parts without losing the snappy attacks. Beef up a funk bass without softening the slap. Distress an acoustic guitar while preserving the intricacies of fingerstyle playing in Logic Pro X.

Looking for a mastering solution that does it all? FG-X 2 is powered by two incredible modules: FG-Comp and FG-Level. FG-Comp is designed to maintain all the original punch and transients of your mix. FG-Level is an intelligent processor whose algorithm analyzes the input signal to determine whether to apply saturation or limiting based on the unique frequency content of your track to fill out your suite of logic plugins.

For years, producers have turned to the legendary OTT setting in Ableton to add life and drama to their tracks. Now get that exact sound with MO-TT, our new dynamics processor that adds fire and energy to your tracks like never before.

Legendary producer Murda Beatz has worked with some of the biggest acts in Hip-Hop, including Drake, Travis Scott, & Migos. We partnered with Murda on a revolutionary new multi-FX plugin that offers producers access to endless sonic landscapes.

ANA 2 ULTRA is packed with over 1,000 epic presets, tons of wavetables & samples, jaw-dropping skins that change when you switch sound banks, and more. With incredible new presets added FREE throughout the year, you can stop searching for sounds & start building your tracks.

Kilohearts Bundle is a stacked suite of 28 creative plugins, including Snap Heap and Multipass. Multipass is a customizable Multiband Processor that allows you to create incredible custom multiband FX by utilizing all of the Kilohearts plugins like compressors, saturators, transient designers, delays, reverbs, and even modulation tools like trance gates, formant filters, and much more.

Our Logic Pro plugins enable seamless workflow and creativity, offering a blend of professional-grade features that accommodate both the technical and artistic aspects of music production.

That said, it would be fair to say there are some music production tasks which it cannot do natively with ease. Someof these tasks are better attempted with help from 3rd party plugins to ensure a fast workflow.

Most of these classic units were discontinued in the 80s and 90s. As a result, the combination of rarity and highdemand saw prices of second hand units soar into the thousands of dollars. Thankfully, Roland caught on to thistrend, releasing various new iterations of these classic instruments. Leaving no stone unturned in the developmentof these new models, Roland brought in the designers of the original units to ensure that the new models soundedexactly the same.

The last few years have seen these new units, referred to as Aira or Boutique, become a regular feature in most dancemusic producers studio. Additional features, which could have only been dreamt about first time around, have helpedthe new range achieve classic status in their own right.

What is Roland Cloud exactly? In short, a range of VST/AU instrument plugins designed to look and sound exactly thesame as the classic models. In Roland Cloud they are referred to as the Legendary series. Additional synths aresplit into several categories such as Essentials, Flavr and Aira. Roland have also added some new excellent newfeatures to the instruments not found on the originals. Being cloud based also gives the ability to push-out updatesand new additions to the plugin range, at no extra cost to the user.

Native Instruments produces a wide range of products, from synthesizers to instruments and effects. No matter what style you produce, their plugins will inspire you to create in the studio. Those who are new to their products may want to check out Komplete 12, which is a comprehensive bundle that includes 60+ products including Massive X, Kontakt 6, TRK-01, Discovery Series and 10 Expansions.

One of my favorite Native Instruments products is Reaktor 6, a modular DSP Lab that allows producers to build custom synths, samplers, effects and sound design tools. Massive X is their latest synthesizer, it offers a wide range of sonics for advanced sound design. Another of my go-to tools is TRK-01, a creative kick and bass instrument for creating powerful kick and bass sounds. It offers intuitive sequencing and modulation capabilities, and is a must have for producers. TRK-01 can be used inside Reaktor or the free Reaktor player.

When it comes to studio effect plug-ins designed to warp and mangle audio, there seems to be endless choicesavailable on the market. I stumbled upon Soundtoys by chance and was delighted when I loaded them into my effectinsert slots and heard the results.

Mixing the low end of music is generally a much harder task then the upper mid and high frequencies. This willexacerbate the situation if your listening environment has acoustic issues, such as standing waves or other modalproblems.

With hundreds of reverb plugins on the market, finding one that stands out can be challenging. Look no further, especially if you want a reverb plugin which can do more than simply create a sense of space.

The user interface is busy but intuitive, with a classic design. Most of the common synth parameters, such as ADSRand filters are simple to access and familiar in layout. The LuSH-101 has a few extra tricks up its sleeve with aarpeggio/gater and a range of insert effects. Being 8-part multitimbral, with a mixer to blend each timbre, meansthe sonic capabilities are vast. This ability reminds me of another famed synth, the Access Virus Ti.

I'm trying to install the latest version of SoftTube bundle. The component files are showing up in the components folder, under plugins, but when I open Logic, the plugins don't show up in the list of available plugins, or in the plugin manager. They don't show up in Garageband either. I have tried moving the plugins to the desktop, restarting and then moving them back again, as well as rescanning within the Plugin Manager. I have also tried installing other 3rd party plugins such as Frontier by D16 Group. Same problem. Interestingly, Red 2 EQ and Red 3 Compressor by Focusrite installed fine.

Because when trying to help somebody, it's advantageous to know what's involved. There could be known issues with a certain version, for example. It can also give insight into if somebody is trying to deal with cracked plugins etc., in which case you're less likely to get help.

Now for my question. I have looked all over and haven't found anything. Probably wishful thinking but, the same as you can "delete all automation" for a track...can you "delete all unused plugins" for a track? Would be nice.

To me it's just more of a cleanliness thing. It would be nice to quickly and efficiently free up some CPU and at the same time clean up your project. The same way as you would select unused audio parts and cut them out of your bin. Or if you "clean up" your project. For instance if I am sending the file off to someone else to add some things to the song , it is nice to tidy it up so it is easier for them to find stuff. It's not a big deal but I DO use those other clean up features quite often

Yep, I would love this feature too. I experiment a lot and it would be nice to clean all the plug-ins that aren't being used with one key command. Every one who agrees should put in a feature request with Apple as triplets suggested.

In the meantime, I've come up with a method that's slightly faster than right clicking, clicking, etc to remove plugins: Right Click on the plugin you want to remove to pull up the Plugin Menu, and then once it's up, quickly hit N (which selects "No Plugin" in the menu) and then hit Enter. It quickly removes the plugin.

yes, I reinstalled it by deleting all the plugin files in the Mac OS folders (component), tried whether it is not available in logic and then started the installation process again. I have the newest version of iLok License Manager. Is there anything else I can try?

@anselm.haselhoff not sure if it will help you anymore but I resolved the situation by deleting some of the preferences files in my home directory. You can drop this in a file called something.command or paste it into the terminal:

I am experiencing weird UI issues when loading third-party plugins inside Komplete Kontrol AU instrument in Logic. For example, with Korg Triton EX plugin, the rest of the Komplete Kontrol's UI becomes invisible. The UI is still there and it is clickable, it just can't be seen. And with various Arturia V Collection plugins, there are weird graphics glitches. Both issues are shown in the attached screenshots.
