In our set up, we have a lot of contacts, and a subset are in groups called Members and Regulars. When we print directory, we get an odd assortment of people, a small subset of our contacts, not necessarily all from the groups or all of those in the groups. Is there any way to specify who should be included in a print directory, such as those who are specified groups?

Not currently, unfortunately. The printed directory feature is old and in need of an overhaul.

For now, it picks people with an address and a home phone number, oddly enough, because that's what our church originally needed.

You could hack it of course, by editing this code: https://github.com/churchio/onebody/blob/master/app/models/concerns/person/pdf_gen.rb#L52-L55

Hey, Tim!
Sounds like it's time to learn some Ruby and hack! Just finished the tutorial...
I'm a retired college professor who is now a very full time Messianic Rabbi.
Before I retired, the Lord suggested I might want to take up programming as a hobby.
I thought that was strange at the time.. programming as a hobby for a computer science professor?
But now, I could use a hobby!
My son does software development for a living.....
Appreciate hearing from you...
