Problems with spam on the list

This message is just to let you know that I'm aware we're getting
occasional spam postings to the list, and when these happen, I'm
reporting the messages to Google groups and banning the poster
immediately. To hopefully stop the messages getting through to the
list at all, I've changed the group settings so that all messages from
new members will be moderated by me to begin with. This way I can
weed out the people who have joined the group just to send spam.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and hopefully this will fix the problem.
