  • discussed the lambda calculus, in particular the lambda cube (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambda_cube)
  • introduction to fractal realms (https://github.com/shaunxcode/fractal-realms) and its use of compojure/datomic for creating a simple API
  • showed jsedn used at command line to parse and select parts of edn structure
  • discussed different ways in which some of the queries for fractal realms/object collision could be implemented
  • discussion of ways in which conflict of any sort could be modeled via state machine (maybe edgar could speak to this more on here as it was super interesting)

Shaun, thanks for taking the trouble to document all of this!

On modeling: yes, would be good to start working on a model that describes states/actions/invariants/etc. in f.realms and see if certain conditions (realm consistency issues such as overlapping landmasses, maybe implicit/intentional loopholes, etc.) can be verified to exist in the model.
Model checking is supposed to allow you to find such loopholes (analogous to finding flaws in security protocols), so would be great to try and take this approach to both verify and drive evolution of the intended semantics of f.realms.
