Hi,

I was surprised to see that there is no actitivity on this forums
since last 30 days.

The last details were about the meeting on 6th May.

Can some one help me with the details of the progress on the website
during last full month.

What are the updates/additions made to the site.

Thanks

Kevin and I had the call, no one else joined us. I am in the process
of merging in changes for the next release (v0.2). It will include:
a. RSS feeds for each category
b. ability to upload image files (thanks to RailsJedi)
c. search features with autocomplete
d. frozen to Rails 2.1

If anyone else has any additional code/features they would like to
contribute to ChucksList please let us know soon.

You can clone the latest ChucksList code repository via Git here:
git://github.com/goodkarma/chuckslist.git

Or you can view the codebase, including features that have been merged
into the codebase, here:
http://github.com/goodkarma/chuckslist/tree/master

Thanks.

Hi,

I think its really too early to Freeze the codes for rails 2.1, when
majority are still not much prepared with Rails 2.0.2

It would be better to stick with rails 2.0.2 and think about Rails 2.1
later on.

Don't fear the 2.1. I've upgraded all my projects to it, and they
worked without a hitch. It's 100% backwards compatible.

Upgrade early and upgrade often!

We're diving into this and would like to see how we can help.

It looks like the demo site was hacked - http://demo.chuckslist.org/

For the record, THE CHUCKSLIST DEMO WAS NOT HACKED. "Hacked" implies
someone was able to break into it and access a system that they were
not authorized to access. In this case, some lame individual just
changed a bunch of the category names and then made the admin account
not an admin anymore (using the "toggle admin" feature in the admin
menu).

Totally lame.

So I have edited the demo so it doesn't allow anyone to ban/delete/
edit the password/remove admin priveleges from the admin user. And I
ran the rake task to reset the category names and other data.
