For if anybody is interested, I've updated vendor/rails to 2.1.1, and

Dear Kless,

I have few questions for you regarding this chuklsList. I will be
thankful if you can answer them.

(1) Can i copy the vendor directory from your link and straight away
use it.... OR... do i need to install them via plugins from the net

(2) Can you guide a little step by step tutorial explaining how to
install this Chuks list in my local machine.

(3) Currently i just want it to study and disable the mail feature
( i.e i do not want to send any mails for registration and user
approval from my local machine. ) can you guide me how to do it.

I am a newbie and still not experienced like you. Thanks for your help

Hi MyMerb,

(1)  If you're new to this you might just want to use the existing default vendor details, but in theory you just need to replace the old one with the new one.

(2)  Step by step instructions are included in doc/INSTALL

(3)  By default your development setup wont send out any emails (look in config/environments/development.rb) just like you want.  However, since the content of the emails is important for activating ads, you'll want to look at the output of your server logs (whatever shows up in the console should be enough) and copy/paste the URLs from there into your browser to activate your ads after submitting them.

Dear Kless,

I would like to work with Rails 2.1, hence your link would be very
much useful.

can you kindly give me a link to download the zip file of your code to
make it work with netbeans 6.1, since i am not aware about the tricks
to download the code straight from http://github.com/kless/chuckslist/tree/master

Pl. help me with this.

BTW... are there any tutorials to copy the code straight from GitHub
to Netbeans 6.1, then pl. guide me for that too.

Sorry for troubling you as a newbie.
