This is something I'd have a lot of fun with

What songs remind you of high-school the most? We can compile a top
15-20 or so songs, and burn them to a CD for a "Reunion Soundtrack",
if you will

21 songs For me:

* The Outfield - Your Love
* Van Halen - Why can't this be love?
* Led Zeppelin - Good Times, Bad Times
* Bon Jovi - Livin on a prayer
* Georgia Satellites - Keep Your Hands To Yourself
* Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love
* Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer
* Nu Shooz - I Can't Wait
* Dokken - Breaking the Chains
* Tears For Fears, Everybody Wants To Rule The World
* Dire Straits - Money for Nothing
* Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me)
* Tears for Fears, Shout
* 'Til Tuesday - Voices Carry
* Bryan Adams - Summer of '69
* Harold Faltermeyer - Axle Foley's Theme
* Autograph - Turn up the Radio
* Def Leppard - Rock of Ages
* Peter Frampton - Do you feel like we do
* Motley Crue - Looks that kill
* Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion

OK, I've decided to edit this soundtrack...

* The Outfield - Your Love
* Van Halen - Why can't this be love?
* Led Zeppelin - Good Times, Bad Times
* Bon Jovi - Livin on a prayer
* Georgia Satellites - Keep Your Hands To Yourself
* John Cougar - Jack & Diane
* Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer
* Night Ranger - Sister Christian
* Dokken - Breaking the Chains
* Tears For Fears, Everybody Wants To Rule The World
* Dire Straits - Money for Nothing
* Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me)
* Tears for Fears, Shout
* 'Til Tuesday - Voices Carry
* Bryan Adams - Summer of '69
* Survivor - Eye of the Tiger
* Autograph - Turn up the Radio
* Def Leppard - Rock of Ages
* Peter Frampton - Do you feel like we do
* Motley Crue - Looks that kill
* Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion

Songs voted off the island:
* Harold Faltermeyer - Axle Foley's Theme
* Nu Shooz - I Can't Wait
* Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love

If there isn't enough room on a CD for all those songs, I'll start
deleting tracks one by one until there's room. The order of songs to
be deleted would be:

* Peter Frampton - Do you feel like we do (It's a long song)
* Led Zeppelin - Good Times, Bad Times (because it's probably just me
that loves that song)
* Dokken - Breaking the Chains (again...probably just me..."Rockin
with Dokken")

Wait...I noticed a mistake... (track #9 is no longer Dokken, it's Joan
Jett, "I Love Rock-n-Roll"

20) *** gratuitious, 80's-sleaze-rock, era-defining song ***
21) Outro track

I've made 50 CD's...I haven't labeled them (I was going to, but then
that looked like a shitload of work, so I decided against it) so
they're blank. I'm marketing this as "Manufactured with special
'blank slate' surface so that you can CREATE YOUR OWN LABEL!!!", which
is a helluva deal, in my incredibly important, yet humble opinion.

If you're marked down as "YES", on attending, you get one. If you're
marked down as "Maybe", it's first-come, first-serve. If you marked
"No", or just don't bother to show up, well...you can go pound sand
then. ;) (But seriously...you're screwed)

I think my next project will be to make a CD that makes you
embarrassed to have lived through the 80's. Think, Eddie Murphy & "My
girl wants to party all the time"

I feel dirty for having even posted that. I gotta go wash my hands
now, and listen to some devil music to burn the latent memory of that
song out of my synapses.
