This is a reminder for those who have signed up for the Arrows to Aerospace Parade on Saturday, the 22nd of August.  It is also to encourage anyone who hasn't signed up but would like to participate or help with float building to follow the instructions below. There are candy and flyers to pass out. We always have fun and the younger children can ride on the float with Mary Ruth.

Decorating for the parade starts Friday afternoon, August 21st, at 4 pm in the church parking lot. Please come and give us a little of your time.

On Sat. morning, if you are participating in the parade, please meet us in the parking lot of the BJSA at 9:15. Alternatively, if you wish to leave your vehicle at the church, you may meet us there at 8:30 and ride over with the float.

Please remember to dress for a hot day (check the weather!) but please dress appropriately. Comfortable shoes, no short shorts or low cut tops. Remember you are representing Church of the Holy Spirit and a first impression is very important. We will have CHS visors available for all participants.

Everyone 18 and under must have a permission slip to walk or ride in the parade. If you haven't already filled one out, they will be available Saturday morning. A child must be in fifth grade to walk in the parade. Younger children may ride on the float with Mary Ruth. If there are family members walking, a younger child can walk with them and the parent must assume complete responsibility for the child. Any children under fifth grade must be accompanied by a parent whether they walk or ride the float.

If a child is participating in the parade without an adult family member, we need to know at drop off where the child will be picked up. They can ride the float back to the BJSA or they can meet up with family at parade’s end which is the south west corner of Washington Park. We need parents there at the same time the float arrives. Have questions? Please contact Kristi Smith, Kim Culp or Nancy Beitenman.
