First, I'm going to close the old Facebook group in favor of a new
one. Facebook has created a new kind of group with more features. You

I'll add those of you that are connected to me as a friend in time. So
far, I've only added those whose first names start with an A. This new
kind of group will be more effective in keeping all of you up to date
about the reunion. Here's the latest news about the reunion:
Hi everyone, here's the latest on the reunion. We've set the dates at
August 12 and 13. For those of you that can't make either of those
days, we also plan on meeting at the homecoming football game in
October one more time, for the tradition. I'm not sure when that will
be yet. Here are the current plans:
August 12th
Lagoon day. We can get 20% discount tickets and a pavilion at no cost.
Currently we plan to have a social hour at the pavilion at 7:00 pm.
We'll have a banner up to sign if people want to connect. People who
graduated different years that knew our class, and those that went to
Hunter High are welcome.
August 13th
Morning: We might have a golf tournament.
Afternoon: a gathering at a local park by a pool. This will be a
family event, with a potluck lunch or dinner, something affordable for
everyone. We are looking at Pleasant Green with the Magna Pool.
Donations to help cover costs for park reservation, drinks, and
deserts might be helpful here. Alternatively, we could use the West
Valley Fitness Center.
Dinner Social: Here we are considering a few options still.
Option 1: We are currently looking at the Old Meeting House on
Highland (can only fit 150 people) and The Gathering Place at Gardner
Village. Tickets would be between $25.00 and $35.00 each if we go
there.
Option 2: Little America, The Field House in Memory Grove, The
Capitol, and the places like them would require a $2000.00 deposit or
so before any food purchase. Tickets would be $50.00 to $75.00 each
Option 3: A catered event at Cyprus. Our estimate here is $25.00 to
$35.00 per person.
