Corvallis High Class of 69 Reunion Information and Request for Help

Friends and Classmates:  By now, you've all heard about our upcoming reunion, August 14 - 16.  It has been our intention to do as much organizing as possible over the net, as this reduces costs, but the net has thrown up some barricades, in particular rejecting large mass mailings, which has somewhat stymied our efforts.  As a result, we formed a google group, "CHS Reunion 69" as a means of doing mass distributions.  Some of you may have received several other emails with duplicate information.  It's difficult to know which of my attempts to distribute information failed completely, partially or were successful.  With that in mind, I will once more send you the Invitation and the Registration form, attached.  As you probably already know, this information is also available on our web site: http://members.peak.org/~asbury/

As of last Friday, we had 215 known email addresses.  With a class of over 500, this means that we're not communicating with over half of our colleagues.  Of the 215, only 62 have responded positively to the request to join this mailing list.  So we have some work to do. There is a small group of us who either don't have email addresses or choose not to share their addresses with us.  These people will get regular mail invitations and registration forms.

The web pages have three pages of names of people for whom we have neither street addresses nor email addresses.  It's likely that collectively, we can track these people down.  We invite all of you to look at the web pages, check the names, and if you know how to get in touch with somebody on the list, please do so and let them know about the reunion, the web page and the contact information.  In the last few days, we've received quite a few updates, and as we get to it, the list will be scrubbed to reflect this.

The committee has put together a terrific weekend of activities.  It should be a lot of fun.  Please do what  you can to join us.  We'll also post photos of the events on the web page after the fact so that both those who attend and those who could not can enjoy seeing some of their old friends.
