Folks, there is the ONLY place I will post official responses - ask
your questions here and look here for answers.

If you ask me a question that is already answered, your team loses
points - check first!!

Group 5 would like to apply to be able to use a second interface board
which would help to sort the marbles by allowing us to use a second
conveyer belt, and also allow us to integrate the pneumatic pump into
our design.

Group 1 would like to explore the possibility of having a second interface board, to allow us to use multiple lights for sorting, and also, so we can have an extra motor for a conveyer belt at the start of our board.

Our group [Team 1] is asking about the time delay between each marble being dropped in.  Our board has a crane that requires 20 seconds (at least) between each marble being dropped.  Since no other group has defined or asked about this variable, we are suggesting that this 20 seconds be defined as the time between each marble being dropped.  We are open to any time over 20 seconds as well.

Group 3 is wondering the specific elements that the board will endure
during the official testing run. For example, the amount of light that
will be hitting the boards which could have an effect on the
phototransistor, the location where the boards will be set up, etc. We
were wondering if we would have the lights on or off for the final
test run as well so we could prepare our board.

OK - since that variable want specified in the original criteria, you got it - 12 seconds.

that is a great question.  again, since that wasn't specified in the original criteria, and it may be an issue, it should be specified now.  What do you recommend for the lights?

The location is anticipated to be on the tables in Moller's room.  Consequently, it appears you will need to learn from Moller how to transfer your program from your computer onto your controller board.

I'm confused on what Reesab's suggestion is. Does it mean that we have
to create a delay before we enter our marble in the track or when the
marble reaches the highest point, it has to delay for 20 seconds?

No. His group is the first to get the marbles. Their system cannot handles three at once. Thus the delay requsr

Sorry about the confusion.  My original post had 12 seconds as the time we needed, but about 5 minutes after posting, I deleted that post, and changed 12 seconds to 20 seconds, because of this typo I made to the first post.

Group 3 has decided that, for our group at least, we would be better
off having the lights off when our marbles are going around the track.
Also, is the time delay just for Reesab's team or for everybody's?

Mr Wright group 3 needs to know REALLY badly if the lights in Mr.
Moller's room will be on or off for the final run. LIKE REALLY REALLY
BADLY.
