The addition of these Nike Training Club videos was much hyped towards the end of last year. Netflix put in a press release to trades that over 90 Nike Training Club workouts would eventually stream on the service, with the first batch of episodes dropping on December 30th and a further batch of new titles and new volumes for existing titles added on March 10th, 2023.
Where will you be able to watch these videos after they leave Netflix? No official streaming home has been announced, but we have found that Nike Training Club is actively uploading workouts to its YouTube channel. You can also access more interactive components using the Nike Training Club app.
The yoga section of the Nike Training Club videos have drawn some criticism from more traditional yogis, who prefer vinyasa flows closer to 60 minutes. These 20-minute sessions are comparatively basic, but consistent with the overarching theme of treating viewers like athletes-in-training. It seems to be more geared towards people hoping to use yoga as a form of active recovery on their rest days, rather than people hoping to use yoga as their primary workout.
To be fair, these feel-good workouts included the countdown clock that I had grown accustomed to, but even that was bizarre. While some workouts lasted 10 minutes, others were 18 minutes, and some started counting down from random times of 10:41 and 6:28?! If part of feeling good means confusing everyone into a state of relaxation, then they absolutely nailed it.
Removed the downloads and re-downloaded and now both previously non-working videos work as expected! Thanks for telling me how to remove them (I would have probably needed this info eventually...) and for the help in resolving my issue! Now I can repeat the Fitness+ sessions that I like until they become too easy!
NOW: my final (?) pet peeve...which you may not be able to help resolve. Why doesn't Apple simply list the exercises that are going to be done in a session? I know that (sometimes) you can glean this info from the Preview but not always. It would be so helpful if this info were readily available so one could plan, say for a week or so, what sessions to take . Would also be useful in avoiding exercises that might impact sore muscles or that the environment (Burpies on carpet anyone?) isn't good for.....Just a hope that there's a way to view this or that Apple makes it possible.
Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with downloaded content in the Fitness app. Which exact version of iPadOS are you updated to under Settings > General > About? Does restarting your iPad resolve the issue? Are you connected to WI-Fi when this occurs? Does this occur with all workouts or specific ones?
I know I can watch the workout videos from the app on my phone. But my phone is small. I want to watch the videos from the big monitor I have on my desk. Is it possible? I am talking about the videos within Fitbit Premium, NOT the Fitbit Coach videos.
Hi everyone,
Your feedback and comments are appreciated. I see where your disappointment is coming from.
I wanted to jump in and share that you're able to cast Premium workouts if you have an Android device, learn more about it by checking this idea.
If you have an iOS device and you'd like that this could be a feature in the future, vote and comment on this idea: Casting Premium workouts on TV screen or laptop (iOS), they are reviewed by our team and the status will change depending on Fitbit plans.
I'll be happy to clarify your inquiry about watching videos on your computer. Currently, Premium workouts are only accessible through your Fitbit app. However, you could post your idea in our Feature Suggestion board, these are reviewed by our team and the status changes based in Fitbit's plans.
Hi - I have a follow up question.....as per @LemonTrees havuing purchased premium yesterday also wanted to watch workout Videos on Desktop as iPhone app to small to follow when doing workout. @SilviaFitbit - when you say Premium Workouts are only available through the fitbit app, does that include the App on Microsoft Store, I downloaded that and installed on Windows 10 but see no workouts? Thanks
Similar issue - tablet OS is not supported and user can only use laptop which doesn't have all the exercises.....big fail on fitbit's part. Please work on correcting! If users paid for premium content they should have access regardless of device.
so my other message was removed - funny how companies willfully present what they want you to see. I suggest @Fitbit correct the problem that was presented. People have PAID your company money for services not being rendered.
PLEASE allow Fitbit Premium coaching and videos to be viewable on a tablet or laptop. I cannot do a yoga class from my small phone. I might as well look up something on YouTube which is where I am heading now. Please fix this - I paid for it.
@SilviaFitbit - thanks for the reply, whilst not the reply I was hoping for appreciate the feedback all the same. Is the limitation around the Fitbit app installed on iOS or Android detailed in the T&C's, specification anywhere....I didn't see it and probably would not have subscribed if I had know about that limitation.
fitbit should either 1) refund the money for people who can only use the desktop app and make it free - why do you need premium for that? it's limited and has nowhere near the options of the app or 2) fix it!
Hey all - found a workaround (this may not work for android users and/or if you are mixing iphone with a PC BUT if you're using an iphone AND mac, this should work - thanks to my fab partner for helping me figure this out):
5. Next to the red record button (lower middle) click on the down arrow. You should see your iPhone named in the list & be able to select. (If you don't see it try disconnecting & reconnecting your phone - that's what I had to do)
Another possibility that requires a bit more hardware if you aren't an iPhone and/or Mac user: you'll need the correct dongles, but you should be able to use a lightning dongle, for example, from an iPhone and the dongle convert to HDMI or 9pin, and you can port that directly into your monitor... could be some hiccups with this, but hopefully that's helpful.
ALSO: I agree that FitBit should really fix this, as I'm trying out Premium for the first time and (of course) assumed I could access via login on my computer... I'm not trying to do cardio workouts/classes from my phone, y'all!
This worked perfectly for me. Thank you so much for sharing, araym13! It's really a shame that we consumers have to go to such lengths to use a product in a convenient manner. I will do my 90-day free trial, but I will have to think about if it is worth it to pay for the service or not. Fitbit really needs to address this and make premium available to use via an Internet browser.
So glad this worked for you JaciRabbit. I agree - it's a shame that we have to jump through so many hoops to use this product in a way that's semi-convenient. It seems pretty odd to me that Fitbit makes it possible to view other parts of your account/access in that way, but not the work outs in a browser and/or homepage when you're logged in to your Fitbit acct on a computer - I honestly see zero logic behind that. Glad those steps work (I don't love them, but have used it a couple times and it's definitely better than trying to see poses for yoga or steps for a cardio dance class on my tiny phone screen).
It allows you to use airplay on your iPhone to mirror your iPhone screen to your computer. You can use it as a free trial, at least, and I saw several completely free alternatives when I Googled it. I just tested it, and it works best when you hit airplay before you open the Fitbit app--once you select a workout video, it will start automatically playing on your computer.
But Nike Training Club (NTC) is far from a brand-boosting vanity project, offering comprehensive fitness programs and a wide range of workouts to suit all sorts of fitness goals. The app is available for Android and iOS, and it provides access to more than 100 strength training, cardio, mobility, and yoga workouts instructed via audio and demo videos. Best of all, it's free!
When I first downloaded the app, I took a basic quiz that asked things like what kind of workouts I like to do and how many times I usually work out in a week. From this, it directed me to a few programs: one focused on yoga, one focused on weightlifting, and the one I ultimately chose, that focused on bodyweight high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and core workouts.
