Truncated downloads showing as completed

I'm having issues downloading files from MSDN currently, all browsers are truncating downloads at random lengths when the download times out. The whole purpose of me trying out this download manager was to resolve the issue. However, Chrono has the exact same issue. Chrono seems to be completely ignoring the Content-Length field, and if the server closes the download connection, Chrono is marking the file as successfully downloaded even though only <20MB is downloaded out of the ~4GB file.
