Hi!
So my boy Kahn seems to be doing well. He has put weight back on and hasn't had a bad day in months. He is playing and goofy as could be. His last Bile Acid panel showed a good bit of improvement also. I do plan on having another panel done soon as it have been 4 months or so since his last blood work up.
What I am asking is how quickly anyone has seen senility set in... Kahn will be 10 in April and wasn't diagnosed until August of last year. He also has never been the "Brightest Crayon in the Box". I tend to call him my dumb handsome boy. I have however noticed over the last few months he seems to take longer to do things I ask him (that he knows how to do). At first I though he was being stubborn (which was common in the past) but I don't think that is the case. I know liver issues can affect their brain so I was just curious about any other experiences anyone has had. I run a small natural pet boutique in Maryland and have a customer who recently lost her dog to another liver disease. Her boy's mental state went down progressively over the years also.
