Hi everyone,

I'm hoping some of you have pharmacies you love or places you go to reduce your medication costs. We just had our other golden retriever (the non copper storage girl) diagnosed with cancer and elevated liver values, so she's going on all the usual liver meds - denamarin, ursodiol, and hepato support + chemo and needless to say, it's going to be costly. The most expensive drug seems to be the denamarin - we get it for around $60 a box from Amazon, but we require 4 boxes a month.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hi Arwyn,

I found it was cheaper to buy the SamE for people through VitaCost.com and then the large container or Milk Thistle through Herbsmith then to use the Denamarin. The 500gram Milk Thistle lasts my two dogs about 3 months for around $95.00. VitaCost was the cheapest place I have found SamE so far. Plus they email coupons a lot.

Good Luck,
Kristina
