After working together with some of the important instructors seperately, Eşref and Vanessa, bot are accepted and respected as ones of the most important figures in Turkish tango history, came up to become partners as they discover the similarities of their perspective of tango and in a very short period of time, they have become a source of inspiration for many people.Their dance contains the elegance of the traditional tango as well as the innovative musical understanding of the new era. As teachers they find ways to help their students to discover and improve their own essance while they make it much more easier to learn all those things which seems to be complicated in a comfortable environment.Eşref has a background in engineering and Vanessa, who has been living a life full of dance since she was 5 (classical balet, ballroom dances, jazz, swing, salsa, tango), has a background in biology. Having their own experiences in science made them curious about the possibilities and gained them analytic approach. You can see these characteristics when you watch their unique dance full of surprises.
This album is part of the recordings that Giulio Cesare Rissi realized on the occasion of concerts of the 1st edition of the fon Music Festival Piaggio 2019.
The concerts organized by Giulio Cesare Ricci were held at the Piaggio Auditorium located inside the famous Museum in Pontedera, the place where Piaggio was born and where it still continues to produce today.
Inside the Museum every year the public from all over the world can admire the Piaggio production made over the years, all the models of the Vespe and Ape, all the Aprilia, Gilera and Moto Guzzi motorcycles that have won national and international awards over time.
For each recording Giulio Cesare Ricci brought all his equipment both analog (Ampex ATR 102 Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351-1965, 2 tracks, 1/2 inch, 30ips modified by David Manley) and digital (Pyramix Recorder, dCS A/D and D/A converters).
As for the microphones he used his original collection of Neumann U47, U48, M49 in addition to the mike pre-amplifier and Signoricci cables.
This is because Giulio Cesare Ricci has always made two Masters for each recording, analog master for Vinyl and digital master DSD for SuperAudioCD.
Also for this recording he used a "field effect" recording technique, natural sound, without the use of equalizers, no sound expansion and compression systems..... all this to bring the listener to live again in his home hifi system, the live effect as if he were present at the concert.
After the success of the Duettango album, Filippo Arlia on piano and Cesare Chiacchiaretta on bandoneon again in the fon catalog with an album recorded live on the occasion of the fon Music Festival Piaggio 2019.
The album Non Solo Tango live opens with a very emotional piece, it is the soundtrack of the film Il Postino written by the late Luis Bacalov.
In addition to songs that are part of the great repertoire of Astor Piazzolla not present in the previous album Duettango in particular Vuelvo al sur, Ave Maria, Milonga sin palabras and Libertango, to underline also the beauty of Por una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel.
The album ends with the encore of the concert with The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini entering into the Pink Panther collection that Giulio Cesare Ricci has been recording in these years.

Tango is famous for being the world's most amorous styles of music, a reputation bolstered by the passionate dance that shares its name. Virtually synonymous with Argentina, the musical tradition that caused a sensation in its day still resonates throughout the world. Which is why Puerto la Boca is proud to invite customers to enjoy live tango music at our Argentinian restaurant in Little Italy on a weekly basis.
Like Argentinian cuisine itself, tango music grew out of a wide mix of cultures, as 19th-century working class people from all over Europe and Africa lived in close proximity in the tenements of Buenos Aires. Even as the asado barbecue traditions we celebrate in our Argentinian restaurant were coming to life, musicians were contributing their cultural musical traditions to create a new style. The dramatic, syncopated elegance of live tango music was like nothing the world had yet experienced.
Early in the nation's history as a Spanish colony, adventurous men came from around the world to seek their fortunes in Argentina. However, relatively few women made the journey, which led to a great disparity between the sexes. This fact had a major impact on the tango's development.
Since men greatly outnumbered women, young men seeking wives would find themselves in competition for females' attention. Dancing was deemed the best, most appropriate way for men and women to engage with one another, so it became very important for a man to become an accomplished dancer, in order to stand charm the woman of his desire. Thus, wherever musicians gathered to play, any young men in attendance would take the opportunity to practice their dancing together. Consequently, danceable music was in constant demand, pushing live tango music in a decidedly rhythmic direction.
The importance of dance as a means to woo women contributed to tango being the most intimate dance the world had seen at the time. Not only did the man and woman face one another, their bodies moved in close concert, causing one religious leader to claim the tango "gives rein to every appetite." Even as the both the music and the dance gained worldwide notice during its 1930s golden age, its popularity often precipitated a backlash, and the music and dance were banned in many global locales.
