How I have this working is I installed crustini and did setup in the stable
channel before switching to canary channel.
If users are having problems in canary channel with crustini it may be because
the installer in canary channel has problems.

Last night I got developer mode turned on my chromebook beeps twice on each
reboot.
Then I enabled the canary channel.
Once update was complete I found it was possible to run crustini or debian
bookworm under the canary channel.
That's how I'm writing this message now which means ssh works since I'm
writing on my internet provider's shell site.
I'm still using tdsr for my screen reading in the canary channel too.
