I made an unfortunate discovery resulting in a recycled Chromebook. I had gone into canary channel until May 18, 2025 update happened. Before that update everything worked including the Debian bookworm and use of tdsr in that space. After that update Linux crashed several times. So it was time to leave the mine. Unfortunately a utility to set off an exit from the coal mine is in such a place where chrome box doesn’t work and also unfortunately I tried several keyboard commands without sighted assistance. One of which left the Chromebook in a state where power wash no longer worked. When that happened it was time to recycle the Chromebook. I don’t figure on buying another one of these machines in the future since I’ve had better luck with open architecture computers than these systems. Everybody should understand keyboard commands are possible on a Chromebook that make it no longer possible for a factory reset to work. The so far as I now know undocumented and exploitable by anyone with remote control of a Chromebook. Fortunately I had all of the crash reporting stuff turned on so it’s possible google may discover what I did and put some protective measures in place so this doesn’t happen to other users.

No windows here. I haven’t done anything with windows since 2013. This was all Linux until the Linux tower died last year. All that’s left is an iPhone and an android tablet. Several years ago I got some L-adapters and attaching a standard keyboard to the android tablet actually works.
