Hello, good afternoon. What is the lag between the ChromeDriver and Chrome versions? Is there a possibility that the driver could be released at the same time as, or prior to, the Chrome update? Thanks.

We recommend using Chrome for Testing for automation. ChromeDriver is released alongside Chrome for Testing, integrated into the same Chrome release process. 

With this approach, there is 0 lag.
