--remote-debugging-port=XXXX leaves white page of death for chrome version 100+

previously used the chrome version 98 where chrome option "--remote-debugging-port=XXXX" worked totally fine, however when my browser updated to chrome version 100+ it just leaves the desired localhost as a blank white page. i have this bug on two seperate PCs so its not on my side, and the code i use to run the application stayed the same.
