Can't cast but it acts like it is

when I use Netflix or any other app, it appears on my phone as though I am chrome casting, however, nothing happens on my tv. I have reset everything...any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Chromecast works perfectly on one TV but not the other. On my devices it looks like chrome cast is streaming, but nothing shows on the tv. Occasionally a flash of the background or app flickers for a moment, but then back to black. I have tried unplugging from cast, and reinstalling the apps. Nothing has worked. ???
