Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has given this a try?

Thanks,
Paul

I would be surprised if it ran well in the managed guest session…

We tested this for staff use. It worked very well in our environment. The licensing and setup in Google Admin is a little tricky, but you end up with a shortcut on the Chromebook desktop to a Linux session that presents a full Windows desktop. More RAM on the Chromebook is helpful.

Thanks, Lucien!  I am interested in trying it out in a staff environment first.

My test subject has 16 GB, so I'm not worried about RAM on that one.

Thanks, Paul, for bringing this to attention. Could be interesting to explore, as we were just talking recently at our library about the potential to switch staff computers to ChromeOS devices, with the only essential app running on Windows being our ILS.

Taylor,

I sent an email with links to our new office suite that does not require a Gmail or Onedrive login. Also a bit more info. Please let me know if you do not receive this info. Maybe check your spam folder.

Charles, I would be interested in this as well, or perhaps you could post a link to the group.

Would rather not use this group to carry out business. Happy to do that one on one - I will send you an email with the link to try out...
