Google Workspace Email Security Enhancements – Seeking Input

Good morning all,

Has anyone here implemented additional security measures for your ChromeOS systems? We currently use Kaseya’s Spanning for backup redundancy, which has been excellent for restoring deleted emails and calendar events. However, we’re now exploring options to further enhance our security posture.

Our main concern lately has been the rise in phishing and spam emails that occasionally slip past Google Workspace’s native filtering. While we’ve been proactive in reporting and blacklisting these manually, it’s not a scalable long-term solution.

Have any of your organizations implemented email hardening tools like Proofpoint, Mimecast, or something similar? We’re currently evaluating Proofpoint Essentials and Mimecast Advanced Email Security, but most of the references we’ve received are from Microsoft-based or hybrid Office 365/Google environments.

We’d love to hear from any ChromeOS-heavy shops that have adopted one of these solutions—or something else entirely—and whether you’re seeing real benefits from the added protection.
