I wonder if anyone would be willing to share their documentation of chromebook settings for patrons? Or even a summary of the settings you find most helpful.

We have been working with Chrome Devices in Libraries for 6 years.. We have over 400 Libraries using our software with Chrome devices, all over the world. We would be happy to discuss the typical settings that Public Libraries are using in their Managed Guest Session. Feel free to contact us directly and we can discuss these recommended settings in your Google Admin Console.  We also have a way to have full Office documents without requiring a gmail or onedrive account (and no advertisements)  - can be used directly in the Managed Guest Session.

I'm very interested in Getting Office to run on out chromebooks, but I really don't want to license Office 365.
Hope you can help!

Lucien: I'll work on writing-up settings that I use and can share.

Charles: Interesting to see you chiming in here! I've reached out to LibData several times over the past few years and have never heard back.

Matt: I have this web app pinned on our chromebooks, which is essentially just a blank and editable Word document. It was developed by Marshal Smith of Mid-York Library System. 99% of our patrons are just looking to edit Word docs so this has more or less solved the issue for us. Additionally, I've heard from others using this Google provided Office app, though I have no experience/have yet to look into it personally. If you have the time, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
