Ads are dragging down Email response time to a HALT

I didn't mind ads appearing on my gmail/chrome screen until yesterday, when it dragged down

response time, so I am waiting at least 1 minute for each add to load for every email I try to view.

The system stops me from moving between individual email notes until the ads are done loading.

This is a waste of my time.  This slow response time is unacceptable.  If it continues, I'll have to

find another email provider
