Hi,

I try to train Autofill to fill job applications and it does not work.
After filling around 10 forms and generating rules for it and removed the site filters, Autofill is still not doing nothing.
I am using the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

I am sure I miss something very basic.
Any help? Thanks,

Here is an example.

I understand the problem, I just don't understand the full solution (yet)

If you go into the Autofill Options > Form Fields tab, you will see that when you generate a rule, it makes it for the specific full url, and not just the base url.

it saves the rule for that exact site, and not just boards.greenhouse.io/

I went into the options and manually changed the url to just boards.greenhouse.io/

this works for greenhouse, but not for other job sites, like jobs.lever.co, and I don't know why

Also, it's very annoying to have to do this manually, because it's not a 1 time thing. If I wanted to click on 'generate new rule' again because I encounted a new field, I'd have to do everything all over again. Not ideal.

Question:
Is there any way in the settings to create the rule to save only the base domain. If there is, could someone walk me through how to do it?

Something else may be going on since Philippe said he removed the Site filters. In the past whenever these types of issues came up, it was often because the rule that was generated no longer matched the field, likely because the 'name' attribute value was fully or partly dynamically generated. Example:

[first load, when rule was generated]
<input name="first_name_100292">

[second load]
<input name="first_name_100431">

etc.

Philippe, can you provide the HTML code of the fields that are no longer matching, as well as the rules that were generated?

Steve, good suggestion on making default Site filter more generic. There are users who prefer the default Site filter to be more specific, so I will introduce an option to select the behavior you want.
