Christ is the power of God unto salvation,
revealing his righteousness in the Gospel
by regarding (counting) himself righteous
for us forever for salvation in our stead by
giving us faith to trust him to take our place:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation
to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written,
The just shall live by faith.
(Romans 1:16-17 KJV)

Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ
unto all and upon all them that believe:
for there is no difference:
(Romans 3:22)

Even as David also describeth
the blessedness of the man,
unto whom God imputeth
[reckons, counts]
righteousness without works,
(Romans 4:6)

But unto them which are called,
both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God,
and the wisdom of God.
(1 Corinthians 1:24)

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus,
who of God is made unto us wisdom,
and righteousness, and sanctification,
and redemption:
That, according as it is written,
He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 1:30-31)

All trust for salvation must be totally on Christ
to be righteous for us forever for salvation.
(Matthew 6:33, 7:13-14, Luke 13:24, John 10:9, 14:6,
Romans 3:27, 4:16, 11:6, 1 Corinthians 1:29-31,
2 Corinthians 5:20-21, Ephesians 2:8-9, Philippians 3:9)

But the popular so-called "gospels" today
do not reveal the righteousness of Christ,
but rather cause people to trust in their
own personal so-called "righteousness"
which saves no one at all (repentance,
change of mind, surrender, baptism,
endurance, etc., though to be done,
must never be trusted in for salvation):

Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
(2 Timothy 3:5)
