After following many posts, I would like to take a survey.

With this post itself, I would prefer to avoid (if possible)
discussions about the topic. I am interested in learning what
Christians think about this.

Please tell us what you think of the Bible from the choices below.
(Feel free to add other choices, if I have missed some.)
______________________________________________

1) In the original languages, it is the infallible, inerrant and
complete (66 Books) Word of God. The Bible alone is the ultimate
authority for all spiritual truth. God wants us to understand it and
leads Christians into all Truth by His Holy Spirit.

2) In the original languages, it is the infallible, inerrant and
complete (66 Books) Word of God. The Bible alone is the ultimate
authority for all spiritual truth. God wants us to understand the
important aspects of the Bible and leads Christians into those Truths
by His Holy Spirit. Peripheral issues may be subject to personal
interpretations.

3) In the original languages, it is the infallible, inerrant and
complete (66 Books) Word of God. The Bible is the absolute Truth;
however, people interpret it so differently that it is difficult or at
times impossible to understand. Therefore, we must hold loosely to our
interpretatios, since there is no way to know for sure that our's is
correct.

4) In the original languages, it is the infallible and inerrant Word
of God. All of the Bible is the ultimate authority for all spiritual
truth. However, the current 66 Books of the Bible do not include all
Scriptures. These books were arbitrarily decided upon by groups many
centuries ago. These groups did not have all of the knowledge that we
have today and may have mistakenly omitted Scriptures. Certain
Christian groups today have Bibles that include more than 66 Books.

5) In the original languages, it is the Word of God. All Scripture is
the ultimate authority for all spiritual truth. However, the current
66 Books of the Bible do not include all Scriptures. These books were
arbitrarily decided upon by groups many centuries ago. These groups
did not have all of the knowledge that we have today and may have
mistakenly omitted Scriptures. Modern day prophets and prophecies hold
the same weight of authority as the Bible.

6) In the original languages, it is the Word of God. However, the
current 66 Books of the Bible do not include all Scriptures and may
include some that should not be in the Bible. These books were
arbitrarily decided upon by groups many centuries ago. These groups
did not have all of the knowledge that we have today and may have
mistakenly included or omitted Scriptures.

7) As a part of society, the Bible is a valuable book of moral
teachings. If adhered to, many parts of the Bible would make our world
a much better place. However, it cannot be completely trusted, due to
the human errors that inevitably happened during translation and
copying.

8) The Bible is a book written by men and therefore is unreliable.

I think the problem today Bob is people love to talk, but have little time to listen. I see this evident even in some of the prayer groups around town where I live. Presentation of a wish list. Little worship, praise or adoration. Then we wonder why God doesn't seem to hear us. Prayer should be a 2 way street, like any conversation. "Be still and listen" goes unheard or unheeded far to often. In our pride we seem to know it all. What need do we have to listen?

Amen Kenneth!

Years ago, one time I went to prayer and I presented a long list of to
God. I was "finished" praying and was about to end. Then God spoke
to me... He said...

"When the two of us get together to talk, which One of us has more
important things to say."

Number 2. Only because some convictions on based on individual
understanding at a given time during spiritual growth, and God has
grace towards the believer.
Some things are bound and some are loosed.
One women may be convicted to wear a veil and a dress, while the other
is not,
Where to live or work and so on.
Otherwise it would be number 1.

I agree, which is why I shared this very familiar verse with friends just 2 days ago.
After I got saved, everything in my life didn't change that very moment.
Much of it has come over time as I have grown and under the leading of an anointed and powerful pastor, who was also full of grace.
For example, at one time, I watched movies or listened to music that I feel conviction over today. Though I now choose not to watch or listen to it, I don't feel it's my place to judge others who do. That is the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Though, there may be times the spirit will lead me to share, it will draw them to the father if it is by his spirit and not my will or opinions.
Seven years ago, I felt the Lord told me to move to Arizona (a lifelong dream), while everybody else was against it. I am thankful I listened to God and not man in that circumstance.
Though some things are bound, I am free to make other decisions under the leading of the word and the Holy Spirit, and not be in sin if it is not specifically spelled out or insinuated in the Bible..
Thank God he gives us room to grow and it is an individual relationship between my Lord and me without condemnation, but based on love, grace and forgiveness..
Ph 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
