Life’s struggles meet us where we are.
Believing we have it together.
Saying self, I’m ready.
Though not, I perpetrate a lie.

Selfish individuals, we dance in our own venom.
A noose swings high in an orchard we planted.
Its fruit like life, fall from the branches and shatter.
In fields of earth no growth only matter.

Rain begins to fall on our dance.
Our belief in luck is not God’s order.
But mantra developed by me, I cannot fail.
Satan’s will increase’s on earth, our death now for sale.

Looking down a shaft pointed at the heart.
Questioning whose important me or God?
Selfish determination realized too late.
Christ’s death, Lord let it not be in vain.

Men epitomize competition.
As conqueror’s we decree victory a perpetual search.
Men of purpose search no more.
For in all these things we are more than conquerors
through Him that loved us.
