to Christian Mysticism
Greetings all,

I'd really like to keep the discussion focused around our relationship
with God, and on the topic of Christian mysticism.

Please, let's keep that focus...

Related, Our newest member Desi from Australia wants to post about the
principles of Humanism.

This seems a bit off topic for me, but if you don't care about it, it
is easily ignored.
It's not that we are flooded with discussion, so that we are annoyed
by the volume of posts...

So Please, when you post, please make posts directly related to our
topic, they might be side issues, but bring them back to the topic.

Thanks ever so much,
Your humble servant,

Only by His Marvelous Grace,
Paul Kiler

Hi Paul and Desi:

Yes, it is off topic.  He spent too much time on this and that is also why I am glad he wrote.

As I've stated before (here?), I've never met an honest atheist.  Every atheist I've met, when I get them down and take a stick to their head(s) - metaphorically speaking -fesses up.  As far as 'they' are concerned, there are two kinds of heads - square ones (right angles) and round ones. (like a serpent)  I suppose there is an honest atheist out there, I just haven't met him or her.  Desi spent a lot of time on this.  He isn't alone in this regard.  Why?  Why legitimize them?  They know they are joking and the joke is on us.

I begin every discussion with an atheist by saying that from my own experience, I never met an honest one.  After all, reason and experience are supposed to be their guides.  Put them on their heels from the get go.  They can't attack anything I hold dear when I don't believe a word they are saying.  That is my way of getting my hand firmly on their neck - then I begin to pound.  Take everything they say and use it against them.  Believe me, I think I've heard every argument.  Sooner or later, they always fess up.  Then I let them go.

'it' is crazy.  We live in a den of vipers.  In my estimation, they outnumber us by about 1000-1.  Maybe more.  No matter where you are right now, we all have a choice.  Repent and believe.  Stick a'round and be a square!  Sure, we may be under now.  'They' have today, and 'they' need us to lead them to tomorrow.  Our retirement is better.  A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  If that ain't mysticism, I don't know what is.

God Bless,

Pete
