to Christian Mysticism
First of all a warm greeting to all members and a note of appreciation
for having an opportunity to share some information on my new book of
spiritual and mystical poetry and meditations.

I used to study Theology in a Roman Catholic seminary here in
Washington DC for nine years and was almost ordained before leaving.
My journey has taken me more and more into the Christian Mystical Path
and Experience and the poems that have come to me express the
immediacy and aliveness of this connection.

The following is an excerpt from my introduction:

'The poems in the first part of this work, called Feed My Lambs, were
given to me in moments of uplift, more times than not, on silent
retreats. After a long period in which nothing was written, I had a
wonderful experience at a Monastery in Northern Virginia, in which the
first of these poems, Assumption to Truth emerged. It took place in
total silence, and in a communal setting where the consciousness of
the group seemed to find voice therein. These took on their own life
force and could be more technically be called poetic meditations, and
reflect spiritual principles that have come to me in my journey on the
Path.

Because of a small spiritual community of friends urging me to
publish, I feel the time is right now, because I heard the words Feed
My Lambs clearly enough to respond. To those inclined towards the
Mystical Path, these may serve as songs of healing and transmitting
energy and encouragement. We are always led to that which perfects our
unfoldment.

The Poems in the second part, Poems of Earth and Fire, could be
considered a combination of modern secular and spiritual poems. These
were mostly written at an earlier time and cover a wide range of
themes. All is One, so however the words have come, and whatever the
time, there is only One Source, and I share it with you now."

I have come to see the importance of mediation and spirituality above
dogma and ritual in my own journey.
Somehow in the Silence miracles occur so effortlessly and our very
being radiates joy.
