I suppose that I have to humble myself to ask for prayers...
With my mortgage already three months late due to not being able to quite make
enough money to pay it each month, yesterday, I received notice from my boss
that unless more orders come in for our products, I have two weeks left of
employment.
Our products are not small, cheap, or trivial.
My wife has a 10 hours per week job, which is teaching at a medical trade career
school as part of a community College. So we will not be penniless, but it
makes the question of payment for this home, in the current restructuring
agreement being sought, much more a question of faith in provision, or of forced
evacuation/eviction.
I am a Professional Photographer, whose primary clients, the Housing Industry,
is doing nothing in regards to hiring Photographers. Nor are the Advertising
agencies, for the same reason. I've had a gracious deal for salary for 22
months, making ends meet, but I can't expect to make much money in too many
positions, except by Grace.
And even finding a job, in this climate, in this place, (the highest
unemployment rate in the US) ... hmmm...
So, I lay my burdens within your prayers, and at the foot of the Cross, on this
Good Friday, in the Hope and Glory of his miraculous resurrection.
My second son is named Phoenix, because until the fourth Century, Christians
identified more with the Resurrection, than the Crucifixion, and they used the
image of the Mythical Phoenix, as an imaged metaphor for the resurrection. My
First son is named Santa Fe, which of course means, "Holy Faith". And my Wife
is Julie -
We appreciate your works of intercession.
Only by His Marvelous Grace,
Paul Kiler
