WATCHMAN.WHAT.OF.THE.NIGHT_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 58-1130 E-14 And the duties of a watchman in the old Bible, was a man that was selected. He must be a man that's alert of the heavenly bodies. He must know just exactly where the stars are hanging to tell the perfect time to the people.
Many of the wearied would go out, maybe, and couldn't sleep, restless, and would scream up at the watchman in the tower, and would scream out these words, "Watchman, what of the night?" And he would look at the stars, and then he would say it is such-and-such a time. Then they would go back to their bed or wherever they choose to dwell, waiting for the daylight to come when the tired, and weary, restless night would be over. God, have mercy.

Everything is being fulfilled in this last days .......The history repeats......
Seventh Trumpet, Eagle Eyes, Preview of Bride, Revelation of Seven Seals etc.,
The above are very clear about the fulfilment of the malachi prophet as well as the bride of Lord Jesus Christ....
He is set in a high tower of the kingdom. The prophet has been given a higher calling than most other members of the body of Christ. The prophet must make exceptional sacrifices of personal gains for the sake of the word of God. This is a high calling and a high station, which others are not asked to assume. Under the guidance of the prophet, other members of the body receive their instructions and ordinations.
He is given a trumpet to sound warnings. God communicates through the prophet. The words of warning concerning errors in doctrine and traditions come through the prophet unto all the body of Christ. God grants the prophet the voice to speak the things that are often unpopular, but it is the words of the prophet that warn the people of impending trouble. Those who heed the word, avoid the suffering.
He must have keen eyesight. A prophet must be able to clearly discern what is happening in the world and what is happening in the church. He must not be caught up in the trends of today, but must remain clear and adamant about the word of God. A prophet does not have a denomination; he is a prophet of the one true God. A prophet cannot have his vision colored by politics, finances, or other things that have led the church into error. A prophet has vision, both of the present and of the future. A prophet sees the spiritual side of war and well as the military side, and he is able to tell the church what will happens in the future as a result of the present actions. A prophet has greater vision.
He spends a lonely existence. The life of a watchman is spent on a solitary pursuit of his duty to safeguard the kingdom. The prophet spends his life in the same manner. Things of the world that are normal and everyday pursuits are not a part of the life of a prophet. There are many things and people in the world that would be distracting to a prophet and cause him to lose focus. To avoid distractions and devote himself more fully to God, the prophet must abstain from many worldly associations. Although his job is the protection of the people, the watchman does not spend his time moving among the people. The watchman’s station is a small and solitary place in which he devotes as much attention as possible to carrying out the job God has assigned. His existence is made lonely not only because the high tower separates him physically, but that he is also separated spiritually by the high level of devotion to duty.
He can see ahead of the everyday person. The position of the watchman allows him to see much farther than the people on the ground. From the spiritual perspective this means that the prophets commitment to God allows him to have insight into things and events that are not available to people. Because the prophet is the messenger of God to his, the prophet has access to visions of the future, the present, and the past. It is this foresight that guides the people in the way that God would have them to go. The Holy Spirit reveals those things that the prophet need in order to warn the people of danger.
He is the first to be seen and attacked by the enemy. The watchman is responsible for sounding the alarm that rallies the people to war. His high post on the tower makes him an easy target to spot. If the enemy is to gain advantage or entry into the castle, he must first neutralize the watchman. Therefore the watchman is the first to be attacked in the battle, whether military or spiritual. The Devil attacks the prophet for the same reason. The Devil seeks to silence the prophet by bringing him down from the high status he holds in the church. If there are any embarrassing sins or weaknesses in the life of the prophet, the Devil seeks to expose them to the people. The strategy is to use the weakness of the prophet to discredit his warning. If people ignore the prophet for whatever reason, they ignore the warning from God. This allows the enemy to overtake the church unaware. Many great prophets of God have been discredited because of failings in their personal life. Their flocks were then scattered and many were devoured by the Devil. The church should not look to perfection in any man other than Jesus, so that, should an embarrassing fact be unearthed about a prophet, do not let that shake you faith in Jesus or in the word of God..
He must have Integrity. A watchman must be of such a high degree of integrity that the enemy cannot bribe him. The easiest way to attack the castle is to bride the watchman to keep silent at your approach. The devil desires to bribe the prophets of God with everything from money to fame. Unfortunately this tactic has been successful with some. The Devil’s strategy is first to put you under great stress, then to provide you with an ungodly way in which you can escape. This way will lead to a long-term indulgence in some worldly activity that is contrary to the calling of the prophet. Once the prophet has been distracted, the attack on the truth can begin. After the Devil gets what he wants through his attack, he then withdraws anything that he may have given the prophet for the sake of distraction. A prophet must have integrity and loyalty. He must remain faithful and diligent to his calling and avoid comparing himself with others. A watchman must resist temptations.
===============================
God’s designation of the prophet as a watchman is perfect. It focuses on the importance of a solitary figure on the entire kingdom of God. It highlights the exceptional commitment that must be made by the prophet and it explains the close relationship that a prophet has with God. The actions of the prophet affect the lives of all the people. In the book of Jonah, we see that it is only the prophet that stands between the complete destruction of a people or their survival. Had God not forced Jonah to return to Nineveh, all the people of Nineveh would have died, and all of their blood would have been on Jonah’s head.
God has placed prophets in the midst of His people to sound a warning. The words of the prophets are often unpopular or critical, but they are necessary for the people to remain righteous in the sight of God. Prophets are laughed at, scorned, persecuted, and even killed by the very people they are trying to save. Prophets receive no respect, compensation, or honor from their own people.
The Witnesses Speak…
ORAL ROBERTS: “A humble devout man of God” (Healing Waters, Jul) 1948)GORDON LINDSAY: “Never had we known of any preacher calling deaf mutes and blind people to pray for, and then to see those people delivered on the spot …. a ministry that was beyond any that we had before witnessed.” ( The House the Lord Built) See also A Man Sent From God.JACK MOORE: “The most gifted of all the evangelists.” All Things Are Possible, by David Edwin Harrell, Jr.).
F.F. BOSWORTH: “When the gift is operating Bro. Branham is the most sensitive person to the Presence and working of the Holy Spirit and to spiritual realities of any person I have ever known. A Prophet Visits South Africa by Julius Stadsklev).
TOMMY OSBORN: “God has chosen diverse and mysterious ways to reveal Himself to His servants, especially those called for dispensational purposes as was Bro. Branham’s call…In short, the man we know as William Branham, was sent to demonstrate God again in the flesh.”
“So, He (God) sent forth a particular human vessel surrounded by supernatural signs to attract attention, to make this wayward generation stop and look and ponder and search and think. Thus the halo of light that appeared at his birth, the star, the angel, the discernment, the gifts, all of these for that purpose. What for? To show us God again. To repeat what He showed us in Jesus Christ when He came in the form of flesh. To remind us one final time. Like Jesus, Bro. Branham demonstrated the very things which made men believe that the true Messiah had come.” ( The William Branham Memorial service) .
GEORGE EKEROTH: “God called this humble man…and anointed his ministry to a degree that within a few short years his name was known in the most remote jungle out-station. Wherever you would go in this world you would find that the name of this messenger had preceded you.” (In the introduction of Morris Cerullo’s book, Wind over the 20th Century)
DAVID EDWIN HARRELL, JR: Most of the participants of the Healing Revival (that erupted in 1947) looked upon Branham as its initiator. William Branham became a prophet to a generation. Night after night, before thousands of awed believers, he discerned the diseases of the sick and pronounced them healed.”
“The Power of a Branham service … remains a legend unparalleled in the history of the charismatic movements.” (All Things Are Possible).
JAMES MORRIS: “It was Branham, more than any other evangelist, who started the post-World War 11 fundamentalist faith healing revival following his encounter with an angel on May 7, 1946…Word radiated in every direction that all manner of diseases and afflictions were healed instantly by the little Indiana preacher. Even cases of raising the dead were published.” (The Preachers)
THOMAS R. NICKEL: “In Bible days, there were men of God who were prophets and seers. But in all the sacred records, none of these had a greater ministry than that of William Branham, a Prophet and Seer of God, whose photograph appears on the front cover of this issue of Full Gospel Men’s Voice. Branham has been used by God, in the Name of Jesus, to raise the dead.” ( Full Gospel Men’s Voice, Feb. 1961)
JOSEPH MATTSON-BOZE: “Sometimes I was scared because of the deep sense of holiness that penetrated the meetings, but I never failed to see the gift of God in operation through His servant and to feel the warmth of love that flowed through his ministry.” (The Herald of faith, Feb. 1966
The Vindicated Messenger…
We will in this page give only a brief summary of Bro. William M. Branham’s life story. We will only scratch the surface of a Ministry that was known worldwide BUT unknown by the world. (Chapter 3: The Vindicated Messenger) Highlights Of The Life And Ministry Of William M. Branham
1. He was born in Burksville, Kentucky. At His Birth (April 6, 1909) the Pillar of Fire came into the lowly log cabin and for two days hung over the crib where the infant William Branham lay. Thus confirming the Call of God in this child’s life.2. As long as he could remember, William Branham received visions and any vision of a future event has never failed to come to pass exactly as he saw it.3. At the age of Seven years, while passing under a poplar tree, a Voice spoke to him out of a whirlwind. The Voice said, “Don’t ever smoke, or drink, or defile your body in any way, for there will be a work for you to do when you get older.” Frightened, he ran screaming to the house, telling his mother that a man spoke to him out of the tree. Later in Life (1946) he would meet face to face, the Angel whose Voice he heard.
4. William Branham did not come from a spiritual home. His father often bootlegged whiskey. Throughout his young life he was under constant pressure to conform to the social norms of drinking, smoking, etc. But each time he attempted to drink or smoke he would hear the peculiar sound of the wind blowing and felt the Presence of an unseen being.
5. Twice he was approached by astrologers (on the street and in a bus) who attempted to explain to him that he was born under a sign. One of them told him that she saw a Light following him. Later he would more fully understand the spirit that motivated Astrologers and Mediums and he rebuked that spirit wherever he went. BUT in Scripture we find that it was these types of spirits that recognized Jesus’ and Paul’s ministry as being of God, while the religious leaders called it ‘the Devil’.
6. At the age of fourteen he was accidentally shot in the leg by a hunting companion. During emergency surgury, he lost much of his blood. During this time he saw visions of heaven and hades. He remembers screaming out to God for mercy. The Lord, protecting the gift and the Ministry, preserved his life.
7. At the age of 19 years, William Branham sought for and received an experience with God. It took place in a woodshed. God came down in the form of a Cross of Light. The joy of Salvation flood his soul and God spoke peace to his heart.
8. It was in June of 1933 that as he was baptising converts in the Ohio River that an amazing and documented event occurred. As he was baptising the seventeenth person before a crowd of approximately 4000 thousand, there appeared a blazing whirling star out of heaven with the sound of rushing wind audible to all, and it came and hovered over Bro. Branham. A voice spoke out of the Pillar Of Fire and said, “As John The Baptist was the forerunner of the first coming of Christ, so your Message is the forerunner of the second coming of Christ.” All these happenings are Scriptural.
9. In June of 1933, the Lord gave the Prophet Seven Major Visions concerning world events, inventions, America, etc. reaching into the present day.
10. The years passed and William Branham served his God, magnifying Jesus Christ, ministering to the sick and calling sinners to repentance with an “open vision” ministry (1 Samuel 3:1). But still, his ministry was mainly a mystery to him. WHY had God “entrusted” this type of a ministry to a simple, backwoods Kentucky hillbilly such as himself? WHY the Pillar of Fire at his birth? WHY the Visions (since he was seven years old)? WHY the Voice in the whirlwind? WHY the Pillar of Fire in 1933 while he was baptizing converts? WHY would God give to him a type of ministry which compares with that of the Old Testament Prophets?
Well, the day was approaching when God would send an Angel to His Servant to answer ‘some’ of his questions. On May 6 ,1946, as he passed under a Maple tree in his yard a mighty rushing wind broke loose in the top of the Maple. It seemed the tree would be torn to pieces. He staggered under the impact and fell to the ground. His wife ran to him. Rising to his feet he said, “For over twenty years I have not been able to understand this ministry or myself. I can’t go on like this. I must know what it is all about.” Leaving his wife and baby, he took his Bible and went to his cave to pray and seek understanding. He had determined not to leave the cave until he had an answer.
At about the eleventh hour in the evening, the Pillar of Fire came into the cave where he was sitting. Then he heard footsteps; and into the light cast on the floor by the Pillar of Fire, walked an Angel. Bro. Branham was very fearful. But, speaking gently, the Angel said, “Fear not, I am sent from the Presence of Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar life and your misunderstood ways have been to indicate that God has sent you to take a Gift of Divine healing to the people of the world. IF YOU WILL BE SINCERE AND GET THE PEOPLE TO BELIEVE YOU, NOTHING SHALL STAND BEFORE YOUR PRAYER, NOT EVEN CANCER.”
11. The Angel took the Prophet into the Scriptures and told him that like Moses, he was to receive two signs, ONE of which would raise the people’s faith, while THE OTHER would be a SIGN of the Second Coming of Christ. First, he was given a sign in the hand – this has been seen manifested by thousands of people. The Second Sign, would be the ability to know, in the Spirit, the secrets of men’s hearts as well as their physical problems. This sign has also been seen by countless thousands of people. SINCE this ability belongs only to the ministry of a Prophet, IT IS A DEFINITE SIGN of the SOON, Second Coming of Christ.
12. The above link to “A Man Sent From God” will take you to a detailed account of the Power of God manifested in meetings in Africa and India. One has said that witnessing this Ministry was like walking in Bible days again. Our Lord Himself performed this type of Ministry when he was here in the days of His flesh.
13. There have been five proven cases which verify that the dead has been raised through this ministry.
14. It was on Feb. 28, 1963 that Seven Mighty Angels appeared to Bro. Branham while he was on a hunting trip with two other brethren in Sunset Mountains, near Tucson, Arizona. Just over two months previous the Lord had showed him a vision of the Angels coming to him. To Bro. Branham it sounded like a powerful blast. He told his church about it. Just over two months later it came to pass.
As Bro. Branham stood on the mountain side, he stooped down to remove sand burrs out of his trouser leg. As he did so a mighty blast came out of the South rocking the mountains so that the boulders rolled down the slopes, and little rocks seemed to dance up and down. First he thought someone had shot him. THEN there came in reality Seven Mighty Angels, in a Cloud, like a pyramid, swooping toward him with the speed of light. One of the Angels spoke and told him to return to his Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana, because it was time for the “Opening of the Seven Seals” of Revelation 5,6 and 8. This would be the revealing of the Mystery of the Seven Thunders of Revelation 10 which John was forbidden to write.
On the exact day and time of this event, what appeared to be a cloud formed in the sky. It was thirty miles accross and twenty-six miles high – scientific fact. It was in that part of the atmosphere where no clouds ever form. Many photographs were taken of this “Cloud”. Life Magazine of May 17, 1963 has four pictures of the cloud. Science Magazine of April 19, 1963, front cover, also has the picture. A further VINDICATION of the “Elijah Ministry” sent to forerun the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
15. In March of 1963 Bro. Branham came back east to preach on the Seven Seals. From the 17th to the 24th. of that month he taught on these Seven Mystery Seals. He taught things he had never previously known. In fact, he taught in such a way as to correct certain things he had previously taught. Each day as he waited on God, that amber Pillar Of Fire appeared, and out of the Cloud, the Voice of God spoke revealing to him the exact Truth of the contents of the Seals and what the Seven Thunders uttered (Revelation 10:1-7). “THUS SAITH THE LORD,” in the mouth of a Prophet has returned to this generation – the last generation – for all things are coming to pass according to the Word of God.
William Branham never sought the praise of men. He never sought large programs which drained the people financially. He has personally refused large sums of money which certain of the wealthy sought to give him in exchange for his prayers for some loved one. During his entire Ministry he refused to let his managers pull for money. Here was one man who practised what he preached.
We encourage you to seriously consider the things we have presented. We remind you of the Word of God which says, “He that receiveth a Prophet in the name of a Prophet, YE SHALL RECEIVE A PROPHET’S REWARD” – In short, whatever God chooses to pour through him to the people – ALL that is yours BY FAITH.
