And they kept silent all night, saying, “Let us wait until the morning light, then we will kill him” (Judges 16:2).

See they wanted to "KILL" samson but Samson doesn't aware of the same. Samson was ignorant of what is happening behind the scene.

This clearly types this end time.....

Devil wants to kill spiritually all the people...Devil is waiting for the circumstances or working in the background to kill each individual spiritually....

144    Oh, church, leave Hollywood Delilah; she's going to kill you. She's choking the spiritual life out of you. Leave her. Your Hollywood showmanship on the platform, your Hollywood, your tinsels, our meeting has got to be so it's just got to be all in the great big like the rest of the world, got to be in the biggest churches.

Eventhough Samson was strong, powerful it is not enough as he didn't noticed or underestimated the devil behind the scene who is working and not totally dead...

Remember Devil is always working to defeat us....

John 10th bible says - Satan comes to DESTROY...

Samson fall because of Woman
Saul fall because of Pride
Balaam fell because of money

Samson was a great man as long as he followed the Lord. And as long as he kept God's commandments and walked with God, God used him. And He's did the church the same. As long as the church walks with God and keeps God's commandments, God can use the church. But when the church gets off on the sideline, as Samson did, then God can't use the church no more. He has to find something else to work with, because He can only use a church, or organization, or an individual as they walk faithfully in His commandments

First step of backsliding to the church, when it begins to flirt with the unbeliever. This Philistine woman was an unbeliever. And Samson was attracted to her beauty. And I think the church has did a great deal of that, being attracted, as it has begin to flirt with the world and to try to pattern itself after the world.

Samson got into bad company. And you always can remember that when you are in bad company, you are out of the will of the Lord.

You're known by your company. There's an old saying, "Show me your company, I'll tell you who you are."

And when the church begins to keep company with the world, then it's no more than the world. It gets out of the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, gets out of the company of God, and of angels, and of God's heritage, when it begins to flirt as Samson did.

Delilah she had to do some--some real maneuvering, 'cause she had to stop Samson. She--she knowed he was a mighty man of God and he had a hidden power. Now, she had to do something to do all kind of a enchantments to try to stop him. Well, that's what the world's done to the church. It's just done all kinds of maneuvering. You can do this, or you can be a better here... You can do this, that, and so forth, until it's got to a place till the church is about dead.

Samson gave his strength to God, but he gave his heart to Delilah.
That's the way it is today. Now, many men will go away to a seminary and learn, oh, an intellectual giant, learn all the Greek and everything else; but when it comes to truth, he'll give his strength of his education to the Lord, yes, but his heart he gives to the church and not God. That's what's the matter with the people today; they want to follow their creeds. They don't want the reality of the Holy Spirit. They don't want to act any different than what they always act. But when you become a Christian, you are a peculiar person, a royal priesthood, a st--strange nation, odd people, do odd things and strange things, unbecoming to the world. And when you're in the world, you're unbecoming to God. One's vice versa from the other. One makes you act like they do in heaven, the other one makes like you do on the earth

He just couldn't give Him his heart, he had to give that to Delilah, but he gave his strength to God. God used his strength, but He couldn't use his heart.

121    Notice now what Delilah did to Samson when she kept wooing him. "Oh, you are a great man. You are powerful. But don't deceive me; tell me wherein lieth your strength." And she loved him, and she made love to him until finally he gave in. And what did they do? The first thing she did, she had his secret taken from him.
Well, that's the same thing that happened (to you readers and Bible students) at the Nicaea Council. The old path of Pentecost wanted to stay with the Word. And they adopted some pagan ideas through Constantine and them, and brought... As Ahab married Jezebel and brought in idolatry into Israel, so did the church marry into Romanism and bring in idolatry right straight back in the church again.

126    Now, she's making love to her daughters, wooing them right back home again. With no spiritual understanding, stripped, it's an oasis for her. They say, "Oh, what a grand thing it is." Oh, my. And Pentecostal men setting in the council at Rome, and sending letters around, that "It was the most spiritual time they ever seen." How could a borned again man cut off his secret, cut off the Word, and they live by the creed? That's exactly what Delilah has done today, cutting off the Word and you live by the creed.
