Antibiotics are routinely given to factory
farmed chicken, even healthy birds, to
make them grow faster.
The extreme use of antibiotics is creating
new antibiotic-resistent superbugs.
The result: infections are becoming more
common and taking longer to heal, and
the cost of treating these infections is
increasing.
