All -- We've got the first minutes of a singing that used the Sacred Harp, 2025 edition. That's Harrods Creek in Kentucky: https://www.christianharmony.org/minutes/2025minutes/harrods-creek-2025.html

(Which makes for our most boring "book" page: https://www.christianharmony.org/books/SH2025.html )

Actually, the very first SH2025 singing in our community was the monthly singing at Warren Wilson on September 21st. But: not minuted. (Very rare to minute monthly singings.)

I have been advised by at least one Shy Correspondent that this isn't right. For one, our Greenville (SC) folk sang from SH2025 at their Friday singing, on the 19th.

(Maybe there was one of our famous "car singings" on the way back from Atlanta on the evening of the 14th?)

As you may or may not know, one of the songs dropped from the SH to
create the 2025
revision was Rose of Sharon.  Of course, RoS is quite long, so they
gained quite a lot of pages
for their new songs.  But there was some dismay, because RoS was
actually among the more
popular songs, something like 290th most often led out of some 550 songs
in the "red book."
Still, the committee made its decision, and good soldiers swung into
line: hurrah!

Twice since then, I have heard a Sacred Harper pronounce the most
quintessentially Denson
Sacred Harp statement I have personally ever heard (even more so, in
fact, than the Golden
Oldie that 'the Christian Harmony is really just a gospel book'): "Well,
you know, Rose of
Sharon is really a choral piece."
