I did a single place canopy for my Eagle came out great. Stock Eagle canopy frame, then foam and figerglass. If you want more info give me a call.

The canopy at the time came from G B canopy's in Washington State, they did the four canopy's for the single place Eagle's mine is from the same mold.
Yes, I can see the instruments fine, although I do have a small flashlight to use after sunset.
No change in flight characteristics, speed, spins, etc. It's nice to have two people besides myself to do the change over, although I've done it with one other. I open the canopy and pull the eject handle while two hold on then reverse the procedure installing making sure all the pins line up.
I'd talked with Frank before starting the project he did recommend against it thinking I wouldn't be able to see the instruments. I did take great care in the positioning before nailing it in place.
I personally like the appearance with the single place canopy and long nose.
