Wobble Pump Question

With regards to servicing wobble pumps.  Do they need to be periodically overhauled, or only when there is a problem??  Is there a checkout procedure that should be run?? Or is this a piece of equipment best left alone.

Your last sentence makes perfect sense to me, assuming that you made
sure that it works. You normally preflight this item by way of
priming the engine and one or 2 throws should result in a fuel flow on
the indicator. Each annual, check for flow, fuel stains and do
inspect and replace the filter (Fram CG-12 in case someone asks).

Dig in this NG if you need it serviced, there is somewhere a reference
to an overhaul facility.
