Brake bleeding

Ok, is there a trick? Trying to bleed brakes bottom up. I am assuming the reservoir has no vent. Accessing the fill cap for removal is difficult enough, but they are tight in the reservoir to the point that it turns rather than the plug. I'm considering front seat removal, or side panel removal, or unscrewing and removing the reservoirs so as to get the caps loose. Yikes. What am I missing.
