event at the end of the year, covering the first ever NZ Air Games.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES / INTERNSHIPS
Air Sports Live is a new international circuit which will use
revolutionary
new TV sports technology to bring the world's 10 official air sports
to an
international TV and internet audience - live!
The main event, to be held at Wanaka on December 27 and 28th 2007,
will be
followed by the US Air Games in 2008 and the World Air Games in Italy
in
2009.
We'll be using a 60+ size crew to cover the event, which goes live to
the
internet and big screen for the spectators. We'll also post produce
multiple
hours of sports coverage and on the actual day news and highlights
packages
for both local - and international broadcasters.
Some of the technical highlights:
* the latest areal helicopter mounted cameras is used
for
Air-to-Air coverage - linked over kilometres via microwaves
* 3 field crews, many action sports camera people,
camera
crane, steady cam are capturing ground action
* hundreds of mini cameras are being mounted on the air
crafts
and helmets for in-flight commentators and different close-up viewing
angles
* the same 3D visual tracking technology as seen by
viewers
during the America's Cup is being used
Now to the roles I can offer your graduates/students:
1. Internship Production 1: He/she'll be getting a close inside on the
production side of this major undertaking. The role is Auckland based.
Start
ASAP. Unpaid role. Duration 16 weeks. Travel/ Accommodation/ Food
supplied
during shoot.
2. Internship Production 2: As production assistant he/she'll be
working close with the Production PM and Coordinator during the event.
Duration 2 weeks. Unpaid. Travel/ Accommodation/ Food supplied.
3. Screen Logger: He/she'll be located in the OB truck and log the
Line Feeds. Dates: 18.-30th. Paid incl. accommodation, travel etc
4. Field Logger x 2: They'll be using 'script boy' and work with the
field crews. A timecode transmitting device is added to the back of
the
camera. He/she'll logs the shots. 2 People for 2 weeks (Pre-Shoots in
Omarama, Wanaka, Mt Cook. Paid incl. accommodation, travel etc
5. Field Logger x 1: One week job from 26th-30th. Paid incl.
accommodation, travel etc
6. Production Driver x2 from 28th-30th: Requirement Clean Driving
Record. 25 years and older. Paid incl. accommodation, travel etc
7. Production Assistant x2 from 28th-30th: Paid incl. accommodation,
travel etc
8. Making Of/Behind the Scenes Camera: Working with an experienced
Director/Camera, he/she'll be capturing footage for the Behind the
Scenes/Making Of Documentary. Criteria: Previous camera experience;
organized; self directed. Directing/interviewing skills essential.
Camera
could be provided. Unpaid. Travel/ Accommodation/ Food supplied.
9. Editing Assistant: As assistant you'll be overseeing one of the 4
edit share linked Final Cut Pro Suites. Working under Emmy Award
Winning
Editor, he/she'll be digitizing field crews, blocking coverage. The
suites
access the OB truck's footage via 6 streams. Paid incl. accommodation,
travel etc
10. News Editor: An experienced position for a graduate with news
cutting experience on FCP. Paid incl. accommodation, travel etc
