Harris Jayaraj began working on this film from late October of 2009 onwards.[9] Before working on this film, Harris Jayaraj composed music for the delayed film Engeyum Kadhal,[10] and the song "Dhimu Dhimu" that was finished in December of 2009 was used in this film as "Chilipiga Chusthavala".[11][12][13] The songs "O Range" and "Oola Oolala Ala" were shot in Australia.[14][15] The song "Rooba Rooba" was initially supposed to be pictured on Genelia D'Souza, but after Ram Charan's suggestion that Genelia's homely nature would not work well, Shazahn Padamsee was featured.[16] Vanamali felt that writing lyrics for "Nenu Nuvvantu" was tough because "Bhaskar wanted to convey the feel with simple words that fit into Harris Jayaraj's tune".[17]
As stated in the title, I believe that these three songs are narratively connected based on the lyrics and subject matter of the songs. I also believe they go sequentially, with Tennessee Orange coming first chronologically, then Tennessee Fan as the response from the man in the relationship, and finally I Hate Alabama as the breakup song.
First, let's take a look at the lyrics. Tennessee Fan and Tennessee Orange (hereafter referred to as Fan and Orange respectively) both describe the guy taking the girl to a Tennessee Volunteers game, with Orange saying "He took me to Knoxville last Saturday", and Fan saying "She came back with me across the Vol' state line". Fan and I Hate Alabama (hereafter referred to as IHA) both reference what the girl was wearing, a hounds tooth jacket, with Fan specifically referring to the jacket bearing the symbol of her sorority chapter. This is also stated, though not as clearly, in IHA by his saying "You had to go and break my heart in a beer can covered Frat house yard". Fan and Orange also both reference that the girl is learning how to sing "Rocky Top", the famous song associated with the University of Tennessee. Fan says "If they heard her singin' every word of 'Rocky Top'", whereas Orange says "Hell, I'm learnin' the words to ol' 'Rocky Top'". These songs correlate again in the fact that they both understand that her parents would not be happy with her being a Tennessee fan, Fan saying "Lord knows her mom and daddy's jaw would drop" and Orange asking her mother "don't you tell daddy, he'll blow a fuse".
IHA and Fan seem to be almost from the exact same perspective, with almost no differences, but there is a not insignificant difference between Orange and the other songs: she says she had grown up a Georgia fan. Orange uses these words that don't fit with an Alabama fan: "Athens" instead of Tuscaloosa, "Red" instead of Crimson or Crimson Red, "Georgia" instead of Alabama, and "Dawgs" instead of Tide. I believe these changes were made first of all to keep a degree of separability between Megan Maroney's song and Morgan Wallen's. I also believe these changes were made because the simply work better sonically and poetically in Megan's song. A loose string I could pull would be that she states that she "always looked better in red", which Crimson is, of course, a shade of red.
Another hypothesis I hold is that Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan is also connected, but that is mostly based on how important the color orange is to the song. I posit that this is the guy from the relationship looking back on his time with this girl and missing her.
So, to conclude, Tennessee Orange by Megan Maroney is the song that was written by the girl when she falls in love with this guy from the University of Tennessee. He then writes a song talking about how he stole the best girl in all of Alabama and brought her back to Tennessee, where she is now a Tennessee Fan and, presumably, wears Tennessee Orange. I Hate Alabama is then the song that was written directly after the break up by the guy, reminiscing on how much time he spent to buy her drinks and drive to Tuscaloosa and how he wishes he could take that back since she dumped him in Alabama. Finally, you could theoretically tack on that Something in the Orange is the guy months or possibly years after the breakup still in denial that she has left him and that they will still rekindle the relationship, but by the end of the song, "Somethin' in the orange tells me you're never coming home", although this foundation is shakier.

The titular orange moon refers to the changing nature of life, with the moon representing the cyclical and ever-changing nature of existence. It is similar to how Juliet asked Romeo not to swear on the moon since it was inconstant. It's a timeless neo-soul classic.
The song describes falling in love, with the bright orange sky acting as a metaphor for the overwhelming feeling of love and desire. It's upbeat and playful, capturing those feelings we all have in the first flush of love.
It tells the story of a man born to a Protestant mother (represented by the color orange) and a Catholic dad (represented by the color green). It's about the cultural clash between the two sides of his heritage, and it's quite funny.
Yes, we'll admit that there are some obscure entries. But there's nothing weak here. Maybe you'll discover a new artist to love for many years all because they wrote a song with orange in the title. There are others, but these are pretty orange-tastic, and we feel good about it.

Sheet music of another "Orange and Black" written by A. Willis Hunt and published in 1897 as a march and two-step without lyrics. In 1874 the colors were worn during an intercollegiate rowing regatta in Saratoga and thereafter also by athletic teams. In 1888 the song "The Orange and the Black" followed, written by Clarence Mitchell, Class of 1889, to a tune arranged by Ernest Carter, Class of 1888. It soon won a place in Princeton lore.
