Title: Software Configuration Management (SCM) Consultant
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: Long term Contract
Individual will be part of Software Configuration and Release Management group to support project release management work
The ideal candidate is a Subject Matter Expert with Software Build and Release Management methodologies, hands-on experience creating and managing the various development and build platforms, and deployment strategies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support release efforts, guided by governing Policies and Procedures (P & P) in effect
Responsible for development and maintenance of code branching in support of software development efforts related to Informatica/ ETL projects.
The candidate must have CM tool knowledge in Merant PVCS Dimensions. [SP] Merant Tracker and Serena Version Manager
Required Skills:
5+ years general SCM experience with at least 3 years experience with ANT build scripts, development/integration experience in Informatica environment.
Experience with Oracle and Unix
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, SCM practices along with Software Build and Release Management methodologies.
Strong ability to successfully manage concurrent deliverables on time and with quality within fast-paced environment and under deadlines.
Demonstrated expertise with data extract and query tools (e.g. SQL/Oracle)
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of the Informatica [SP] PowerCenter tool
Working knowledge of Perl, Windows, and Unix shell scripting.
Work independently as part of the expanded team.
Experience working on cross-functional teams and with other engineers, especially from different geographic locations, is a plus.
