The price for upgrading AnyStream to AnyStream Plus is 60 EUR, no matter if your license is a 1 year, 2 year, 3 year, or lifetime license. This is a one-time purchase and will permanently upgrade your existing license and future renewals to AnyStream Plus.

For another option check out RedFox - they are the new owners of AnyDVD and have a streaming capture software and have NEVER backed out of a lifetime license even when they took over the company from someone else...

I'm a big fan of Plex and have a lifetime subscription. If you're not familiar with it, it basically lets you have your own Netflix hosted on a computer in your house that you can watch from anywhere. If you've ever wanted to watch a movie or show that you already own, without having to deal with the discs, and it's not on one of your various streaming services, you understand the value. Also, if you have children, and they want to watch the same shows over and over but they never put the discs away (assuming you still have such things in your house, of course), this also solves that problem. I figure most new parents these days are just using streaming content from day one, but you never know. And if you are in the "we only stream" camp, and you've ever had some content you had access to suddenly disappear because the owner of the content decided they were getting a better deal from HuluflixPrime than NetBOGoMax then you understand how having your own private media server can be nice, too.

You can install these two things from their web sites, but I find Chocolatey to be much nicer. I have a list of some of my tools I've installed with Chocolatey here. To get started with ripping DVDs, you need handbrake and anydvd. Handbrake drives the process; anydvd works behind the scenes to decode the DVD so handbrake can read it. Handbrake is free; AnyDVD is free for 21 days then you need a license.

Ultimate Guitar, they used to have lifetime subscription, but now it's costing $120 a year after discount, used to be like less than $50 for lifetime (if you have bought, you still have access to it forever and free updates)

Yeah I've been holding off buying a licence but will crack any day now when they offer a global discount to celebrate obtaining a payment gateway for US customers. I also want to buy a lifetime AnyStream licence at the same time to get even more of a discount for bundling.

Not sure if this is what you were after but I found this sound enhancer a couple of years back and unlike all the other ones I've tried over the years this one isn't crap. Bought the license which is a lifetime one.

Sorry, but AnyDVD is dead to me. I paid for a lifetime license and now they don't honor it. I honestly don't buy into the whole "oh, that OTHER company shut down, and we're an entirely different company, but oh we have their code and their forums and everything, so pay us again" BS.

So RedFox guys got together and incorporated in Belize, again, with their own money (they didn't even do a Kickstarter, which is the trendy thing these days). As a goodwill measure, they offered recent licensees a whopping 50% discount off new licenses (including lifetime). This was on top of the 20% discount they were offering to get seed money started, and you can get another 10% if you pay in bitcoin.

In an ideal world, sure. In the real world, shit happens, and you get what you get. Yeah, I didn't like having to buy AnyDVD HD again from RedFox after having a lifetime license from SlySoft. But you know, I respect the guys who resurrected it and brought it back to life, so they deserved getting my money again. Hell, the one thing I wanted was UHD support, and it's finally coming around. They wouldn't have had money for that kind of development if they just let everyone who had old SlySoft lifetime li

Right there with you, I was a lifetime user and supporter of many years myself. Got others on the bandwagon and used their software to great success. Now suddenly it's Chinese software in posession of the full IP of the other company but they cannot honor my license? I should accept this? No thanks, I've moved on and there are other options.

The same conditions that closed Slysoft could (will) close RedFox - I just do not trust these people enough to pay up.

Annoyingly I paid for a Slysoft HD licence a week or so before they closed down. No warning was given & IMO they cynically continued to take people's cash down to the the day the website disappeared when they probably knew the end was near well before then - bas****s!

The lifetime licence will probably be measured in a hamster's lifetime if that - Be warned.

I too have DVD Fab but how long it will last who knows?

Anyone have a bargepole?

Unfortunately your lifetime downloads were their lifetime. You are going to have to buy a new license to get this version forward to decrypt any new codes from this point forward. Those of us that thought we had our lifetime for the relatively high fee are the ones screwed. Fortunately I have DVDFab which is still working, but will they do the same thing. Look for a lawsuit in the future.

Slysoft products have always worked well on all my computers. I have all of them except Game Jackal. Luckily I purchased free lifetime upgrades with all of them and they were much cheaper back then. Unfortunately for over a week now I've been unable to get updates or even any download because their website has been shut down with no notices of why. All I can think is that they were shut down by government for some illegal business practices. So if you don't have a copy of their latest software and already paid for it you're basically screwed. Hold onto any install copies you have because they can't be replaced

Hands down works better than anything else I've tried.

Frequent updates. I've had very few issues. and they've been fixed in updates or a setting change.

It's so nice not being forced to sit through trailers warnings and other crap that you can't skip or FF through. I've also gotten a few problem discs to play that for some reason wouldn't w/o using AnyDVD. Though that may have just been a fluke.

I had a few retail discs with Cinavia that TMT would flag as pirated, AnyDVD fixed that irritating little problem.

I'm a bit tight with my money, but I sprang for a lifetime license.

In November 2010, SlySoft initially announced via email[16] and on their forum the discontinuation of the lifetime licensing option, beginning January 2011, encouraging customers to purchase the lifetime option "while it is still possible."

In January 2011, announcements regarding the change were deleted, and a new structured licensing plan was put into place; including the lifetime licensing option for a steeper price. The software can still be used after the support date, but won't be able to be updated.
