I hear you .
I've spent a little time with our IT gurus and they've shared some neat advice that might help (at least in the short term). The old Delcam forum is hosted on a server with the URL address of manufacturing.autodesk.com. Knowing this, it is possible to use Google's search technology to scan through the entire forum looking for specific content. So, let's say you wanted to find any/all instances of the text "typed command" you could use...

This displays a list of any page containing that text string. It's not perfect, but does provide a means of scanning through the old site looking for content. Simply replace the text "%20typed%20command" to search for other strings.
Hope this helps

Unfortunately, the company chose to upgrade their existing software, rather than evaluate the performance available with a new CAM system. The result was two machines standing idle for long periods waiting for CAM data because of the long calculation times. The software had few features supporting high-speed machining so the machining times were much longer than they should have been. Even worse, the programs included frequent gouges.Realizing that the poor performance at Hubco was reflecting badly on DMG's reputation, the local machine tool agents approached Delcam's South African representative AZtech with an urgent request to assist Hubco.AZtech obliged by producing data with PowerMILL to machine one half of a typical forging die. The results were excellent. Even so, AZtech had no desire to become a contact programmer and insisted on setting up a detailed demonstration with both the machine tool agents and the staff at Hubco. Although the demonstration went well, the management at Hubco was initially reluctant to purchase any additional software. However, when the data was run on the machine, it was found that PowerMILL had reduced the machining cycle time by 75%, and PC toolpath generation times by a massive 95%. With that kind of performance, Hubco could more than justify the cost of PowerMILL with the time saved in making only a couple of molds.Being experienced CAM users, Hubco's two programmers, Dennis Comninos and Vincent Mills found PowerMILL easy to learn and to use. "Since using PowerMILL, we have reduced calculation and cutting times drastically. On one mold alone, we saved days," they report. "When compared to other CAM systems, Delcam's PowerMILL is the leader by far. It is a very powerful package, with a wide variety of options."The staff at the DMG reseller is also delighted with PowerMILL. DMG was thrilled to be receiving compliments on the results from the machines, and is even happier now that Hubco has placed orders on two additional DMG HSM machines. For further information on Delcam's PowerMILL, please contact: -
