I noticed today that the editors/mods went in and deleted any post
I've made about Paul and Sandy's food, including a post I made
explaining to someone why them not putting coleslaw on their pulled
pork sandwiches isn't strange at all (Paul and Sandy's is KC-style
BBQ, coleslaw on sandwiches is an east coast thing). Now what you've
got is a reply to that post from duckdown that no longer makes much
sense because he's responding to my post, which is now gone. Even more
strange, there's a followup post to that whole discussion from
BusterRhino and my response to him IS STILL THERE. They can't have
deleted my original post due to it being off-topic as the responses
are all still there and they can't be specifically targetting me for
post deletion because, as far as I can tell, all my other posts in
every other thread are still up. Maybe they think I'm an insider, but
I'm the guy that originally questioned the legitimacy of the first
post about Paul and Sandy's since the poster had no other posts on
Chowhound at the time (that person now has a whopping *4* posts) and
it seemed to be way over-the-top positive [which actually turned out
to be true, thank god]. I likely do NOW qualify as an "insider" since
we've come to know Paul and Sandy pretty well and they now sell my
GF's cookies there, but at the time all of this occured I had no more
of a relationship with Paul and Sandy than I have with any other
restaurant I've ever eaten at (I always try to talk to the owners/
chefs/staff at any restaurant I eat at to get a feeling for how they
operate, it usually speaks volumes about what to expect from them over
the long haul). Chowhound is not the first forum for posting about
food and it will not be the last, this kind of behavior will likely
hasten their fall. It's like a restaurant that treats their regular
customers poorly; the regulars are what keep you alive, not the drop-
ins and random visitors.
