Hi everyone,

I guess now is the time to start thinking of the next Chowmeet.

Given that the Chicago Style Pizza Shack does not take reservations
and relies on a first come, first served basis, I will suggest we
avoid a Friday or Saturday.

Given that the 3rd is Super Bowl Day, the 14th is Valentines Day and
the weekend of the 18th is Mr. McGuinty's new "Family Day"
celebration, I will suggest we avoid these dates.

Ideas/suggestions as to when a good date would be?

I was at a dinner last night sitting with Chef Mark Picone (son of the Picone's in Dundas, great chef, and good friend: http://www.chefmarkpicone.com), and he started talking about Chicago Style!  I can't wait to go.

I'll consult with the Powers that Be over the weekend.

Cheers,
Ross

I don't know about you guys, but I've had enough of this snow and
cold!

Okay folks, any ideas re: dates? Looks like we now may be dipping
into March. Please note that the 21st and 24th of March is Easter
weekend...

Any idears?

I'm toast until after Easter for weekends.  We're leaving Feb 29 for two weeks in South Carolina.

If we're looking for a Sunday, my first available is April 6th.  Life is too busy...

Ross

We can't commit to weeknights anymore because of the commuting
factor. Sunday the 6th of April would work. Should we go on the
"early" side? It is crazy there every day, but we've had not-bad luck
getting a table if we go just after it opens at 4.

I'll be back in the country on Sunday April 6th, so 4pm would be fine
by me!

Sounds like a plan.  I'll put it in my book, and we can touch base closer to the date.

Okay, we're in too. Ross, we'll also get in touch with Gary from MSF
as I know he wants to come along.

We ordered Chicago Style last night. We will be fighting for the
leftovers today.

Sounds good!  I'll mention it to Mark Picone too.  He said he'd be up for a roadtrip to Chicago Style some time, so I'll see if he can come.

Cheers,
Ross

Hi Mike,

I've been really looking forward to this, but just yesterday I found out that I have a meeting at 4:00 this afternoon that I have to attend.  Very sorry for the last-minute regrets.  The good news is that my meeting is with other members of the board of the Niagara Food Festival to prepare for a pitch we're making Monday night to Welland City Council for some big funding.  We've already got $77,000 from the Province to buy a mobile culinary theatre; mark the first weekend in October in your calendar!

Hope you still get a group together, and again I am sorry that I can't be there.

Cheers,
Ross
