Hi Folks,
Thanks to Phoodee for kicking my butt regarding this.
As the Harbour diner is now out of business, I would like to nominate
Karolina's at Barton St. East as the location of the first
Chowmeet...my review is at the link below

As far as dates go, I am pretty durned open clear until March...and
Alice at the restaurant will be pretty open date wise after the
Orthodox Christmas is over.
Opinions? Ideas?

Hi Mike,
I saw the post about Karolina's a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still trying to get the drool out of my keyboard.
How about Thursday the 17th?

The 17th is good for me, let's hope some other folks (foodiemommy,
redshifted, etc.) join in with their $0.02.

I have a tentative day trip for business to Montreal that day, but
have a feeling it will be postponed. I'll check and get back to you

Okay, just confirmed that the 17th Jan. is okay - not going away until
week after.
Karolina's sounds great. What time? Early-ish, since it's a "work
night"? 6-6:30?

Okay as Ross and FoodieMommy each are bringing a guest and I should
have a guest, I made reservations for 6pm on Thursday the 17th. I've
also taken the liberty to request the set dinner (or the "buffet" as
Alice calls it), so expect it to cost around $18.00 a person plus
taxes and whatever you want to drink beyond coffee tea and
water...they are licensed but the wine list is...ummm...limited...
Reservations are under my name (if the sign on the door says "Closed",
it perpetually says that). Karolinas is at 757 Barton St. E. between
Barnesdale and Lottridge on the north side. It's a little brown brick
building and there is no sign, but the window is painted.
