1I had assigned a SAP standard role "SAP_HR_BCR_EMPLOYEE_T" that contained the respective app I was looking for (here "Employee Lookup"). For some reasons I don't fully understand yet that assignment interfered with my own catalog which I created by copying the technical catalog of that app "SAP_HR_TC_T" and then deleting every single tile except "Employee Lookup". The new catalog then contained only the "Employee Lookup" and was assigned to the user JOHNDOE using a Role only containing that catalog menu and the service (TADIR) rights to the respective app service.

As long as SAP_HR_BCR_EMPLOYEE_T was assigned to the user, launchpad always showed the standard tile under Group "Manager (HCM)" no matter if the User had kicked out the standard app out of the group and added the own app.

2. I discovered this link Cache Busting for SAP Fiori - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library which led me to here Invalidate Client Caches - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library which postulates the use of report "/UI2/INVALIDATE_CLIENT_CACHES"

did not know about thos until know, so thanks for the input. However, they were not set in the first time (at least by clicking on the view (glasses) icon, there was nothing displayed). I deleted them anyway but no luck, unfortunately.

I now recreated the catalog, assigned it to a role and assigned the role to the user and again put the tile "Employee Lookup" to "My Home". After that I again unassigned the role from the user and tile is stuck again. So same situation as yesterday.

In this situation, there's no error in networks pane of chrome developer tool and as far as I can see no errors in chrome console. There are also no errors in /iwfnd/error_log or in application logs in FES

Please be aware that I didn't create a custom group for "Employee Lookup" so I only have a custom catalog "Z_HCM_BC_EMP_LOOKUP". But should this normally be working so that the tile gets pulled when I unassign the role?

"My Home" is personalization setting. I think the personalized tile should not be removed by removing catalog ID/Role. But it should give a proper error message because the user does not have a authorization now.

thanks for your estimation about "My home". However, the same is true for other groups that allow adding of tiles. For example if I add the tile to a group "Custom Employee Self Service" which allows adding of tiles while the user has the role for the catalog "Z_HCM_BC_EMP_LOOKUP" and after that unassigning that role, it will remain in that group also, so I don't think it's a specific problem about "My home" but more general about groups that allow adding of tiles.

About wording of "stuck". Sorry if this was not a precise wording. What I mean with this is: After unassignment of the role containing the custom catalog the tile is still visible to the user in launchpad, which in my opinion should not happen / should not be the way things work (however, I may be wrong with this opinion)

Ultimately I'd like to have the abilitiy as an administrator to assign Fiori apps on a per-app basis to our users because in our company no two people share exactly the same responsibilities (as sad as that may be but that's the reality) so working with groups and catalogs with multiple apps will probably not fit our organisation.

About the tile giving a proper error message: It does not, but this seems some misconfiguration on FES side that I still have to come over. It says thta I'm not allowed to acccess common librarjy.js file no matter if I have the catalog role or not.

However, I'll have to confess that I deleted the catalog Z_HCM_BC_EMP_LOOKUP by accident yesterday and reacreated it afterwards. So this error might well be the case because the ID "3AB0S3ZFRUP9U8Y6UEAG8FH5ZGP" has changed because of that?

if you have the underground catalog, there are a few options for backsplashes in the catalog, if you want to make your own tiles, you will use the "custom material" function at the bottom of the box when you choose the texture for your tile. this is how you use a texture you have saved from a site or photo.

In v9 (maybe older also, but for sure in v9) there are some editable tiles (field color, grout color, tile size, grout size) in the Room-Sample Generic 20-20 catalog. They are a good place to start to get your feet wet with using some of the "standard" 20-20 items. They are not as fancy as what real-world tile can be, but they are much better than the early tile that 20-20 offered.

About this collection

The American Encaustic Tiling Company was established in Zanesville, Ohio in 1875. By the 1930s, the company was one of the largest tile manufacturers in the world. The company manufactured art tile, plain and ornamental wall tile, and floor tile.

The Ceramic Mosaic Tile catalog was published in the early twentieth century to showcase and promote American Encaustic Tiling Company floor tile. 71 color plates depict available patterns, sizing, colors, lettering and numbers for myriad styles of floor tile design. The Artistic Tiles catalog features decorated tile, printed tiles, mantel facing tiles, art tiles, and embossed tiles. For more information, view the catalog records for Ceramic Mosaic Tile and Artistic tiles.Copyright

A manufacturer's catalog consisting of 89 unnumbered leaves of photographs and illustrations of embossed art tiles, some displayed as surrounding a mantle and some displayed on their own. Details for the tiles are given including size of tiles and assigned numbers, presumably corresponding to their manufacturing number. Included is a drawing of "a modern bathroom," as well as "profiles, of a few of our base, cap, cove, bead, and door trim tiles."

I have a las catalog with overlapping tiles. LidR warns me of this, and I'm wondering how concerned I should be. The tiles are in las version 1.2 with point record format 1. None of the points are marked as Withheld so there is no filtering to be done. I did a test on two of the tiles and found that the area of the intersection is 2200 square meters, and each of the tiles are about 225 hectares. This seems like a relatively small portion of overlap. Do I need to modify the tiles? Or can I process them like normal?

In lidR a buffer is loaded on the fly when you process a collection of files by chunk. If some files are overlapping each other you have a warning to alert you about potential problems. The reason you will encounter issues is because you will load twice the points. I can see few classical cases of overlapping files that actually happened to me.

In this case lidR will load twice the buffered region and this will result in some dummy statistic, double tree counting, increasing processing time and probably other troubles. If the buffering is properly done, buffer points are likely to be flagged. For example flagged as withheld. You can filter them at read time

When a file records a single flight transect, files are overlapping, of course, but this does not create regions with duplicated points. You can process normally and ignore the message. The engine will take care of making independent and buffered chunks.

There are plenty of other explanations. Headers may be incorrectly populated, points may have been reprojected (this is likely the case below) and one may find other specific cases I have never thought about.

In your case, the collection looks good. The overlapping is very tiny. You must find why you have overlapping regions and if it was intended by the provider or not. Overlapping is not an issue by itself. The problem is duplicated points. I suggest you to apply few geometry operations to check your catalog and find where are the overlaps. For examples:

It is necessary to include overlapping buffers when you process tiled lidar data to avoid edge artifacts. The areas along the edges of the clouds will have distortion when you run various operations (i.e. ground filtering, tree detection, etc..) on them, meaning they can be sources of error. The overlap between the tiles allows for the edges (and the error) to be cropped prior to stitching the tiled data back together.

The rationale for gridding the point cloud in the first place is to break the computational workload into smaller pieces that can be split among cores or machines to speed up processing. The buffers are necessary to ensure continuous "wall-to-wall" outputs (in the form of DEM, DTM, CHM, etc..) when the gridded data are recombined.

The Catalog Service for the Web (CSW) is an OGC Standard used to publish and search geospatial data and related metadata on the internet. It describes geospatial services such as Web Map Service (WMS) and Web Map Tile Service (WMTS).

In MapStore the Catalog offers the possibility to access WMS, WFS, CSW, WMTS and TMS Remote Services and to add the related layers to the map. By default, as soon as a user opens the Catalog, a CSW a WMS and a WMTS Demo Services are available, allowing to import layers from the GeoSolutions GeoServer. The user can access the Catalog with a click on the button from the Side Toolbar. As soon as you open it, the first display is like the following:

For those layers which have long descriptions or long metadata information, the content is truncated in order to fit the Layer Card size. In order to access the complete information, the user can expand the card using the button:
